My favorite has always been from Glastonbury ‘95 but I think Knebworth might be the top spot now, so epic. there aren’t a ton of videos online so does anyone have any they think are better than those two?

For Noel acoustic versions, it doesn’t get better than Chicago 1998 for me. Runner up would be Noel’s acoustic from the AOL 2006 session, where he plays it in a different key (Em, capo 4 I think).
For full band versions, I’d say Knebworth is my favourite, followed by the Glasgow Barrowlands 2001 performance. I also really love the iTunes Festival 2009 performance.

Which was the one where they swapped vocal parts at the end? I liked that.

Hands down for me - Chicago 98 was the best ever live version of Slide Away. I wish I had been there live!

It's a great version! My favorite is this one. I also love the banter at the beginning.
Found myself alone at the office for the last hour today, so I put on youtube on the phone and blasted out those two versions, thankfully no one came in to ask if I needed help, happily yelling the outro.

Oasis very rarely did this song justice.
When Liam had his strong vocals, the band were too raw.
When the band were tight in latter day Oasis, Liam’s voice was weak.
Damn shame as it’s the best song ever recorded by anyone ever.

Not the best performance but the 2009 iTunes gig. after all the years you see the drama in Liam and Noel. Band is playing strong but the tension cut's like a knife true the performance

Liam’s anger translated into passion. An angsty performance of a soaring love song. Brilliant. (If only it included the ‘WHAT FOR!?’).

Not a live performance but I always liked the "Safety Masters" version from 1994.
Great dynamic range - you can hear all the instruments very clear - much better than the album version!

Virgin Megastore 1994 is definitely up there with all the other great performances too

Nobody mentioned it but I like Benicassim 2017 version - Liam absolutely nailed it. Maybe best since 2001 or even Knebworth

don't feel like this performance gets mentioned much but I love Noels vocals on it and the whole thing just comes together really nicely.
