GLIO feels a bit like Noel paint-by-numbers. AATW is also Noel paint-by-numbers, but with the balls to blast it for 10 minutes! AATW for the win! ---- Question: Is there a bracket of all these comparisons? It'd be nice to see who wins it. ---- From the ratings... GLIO: 8.28 (24/154) AATW: 7.77 (46/146)
Note: AATW has 18 10-ratings to just 16 for GLIO.

All Around The World is a sprawling, epic, timeless journey. It's their Magnus Opus. So yeah, there's my vote

All Around The World does end up going haywire but that is part of the appeal. I’m torn over whether it could have been executed better because sometimes I honestly think there’s Oasis best song hidden in there somewhere, but I’m in no doubt that it is also probably my favourite Noel melody. Liam sounds fantastic in it too. So it will just have to settle for being one of the best Oasis songs!
There’s no competition for me. I think Go Let It Out is fairly ho-hum and drab in comparison myself, and without any preconceptions about Oasis post-1990s when I bought Stop The Clocks, I honestly did think it was one of the weakest tracks on that compilation.
It doesn’t reach the heights of All Around The World. I think Oasis and Noel are at their best when there is a bit of craziness added to the mix (and that’s why I love Who Built The Moon - it’s not like 90s Oasis by any means but there’s a rediscovered sense of fun and eccentricity, more so than any the blandness from Oasis and Noel post-90s). With Oasis in the 90s, I love the raw and reckless adrenaline fuelled approach to recording in the 1990s, I love Liam shredding his vocals to pieces, I love the ridiculous guitar solos, I love the loudness. All Around The World encapsulates that aspect of Oasis as a great band, but multiplies it by infinity. Yes, over the top, but ridiculously good fun - just like the end of that album, to follow that with It’s Getting Better Man.... wow, you’re actually exhausted from just listening to those two mad songs.
So yeah, Go Let It Out Can’t hold a candle to the song personally!

I think All Around the World could do without the first nah-nah section between the second and third set of verses (as well as a few little edits here and there and a slightly more pleasing arrangement in the first minute), but I completely agree that it's one of Noel's very best melodies. Amazing verses, bridge, chorus, and refrain. Joyous song - just one loud beautiful melody after another, I absolutely love it. Go Let it Out is a good single and a song I always enjoy, and the production really is great, but it just can't compete with the bonkers confidence and joy of All Around the World.

I drastically prefer the Mustique demo's ending to All Around The World. It's perfect. There really was no need to drag the song out unto oblivion. A solid 7 minutes would have been immense.

‘Go Let It Out’ always feels fresh to me every time I hear it. It’s the production and musicianship that keeps it fresh. The whole song builds and builds to that eurphoric end chorus and guitar solo. And that bassline is just out of this world.
‘All Around The World’ is the better song at its core, better melody but I need to be in the mood for madness to hear it because of the production. It goes on and on and on until it can’t get any bigger and sometimes it’s too much but other days I love it. It does sum up Oasis at their peak.
Tough to choose... went with ‘Go Let It Out’ today.

Oh 'Go Let It Out', definitely. It was a much needed change of direction away from the backwards facing Be Here Now. With a sly glimpse at The Beta Band's homework Noel managed to piece together a far more contemporary piece and blatantly cleverer interpretation of the modern day Beatles sound Noel claimed they had always been striving for. It didn't piggyback the 60's it carried it upon its shoulders and championed it like a good friend. Of course comparatively 'All Around The World' paraded around, far overstaying its welcome I might add, with the flayed skins of John and George stretched it over it's nauseatingly inflated bod. La-la-la-la-la.

The bridge of All Around the World has more melody than all of GLIO put together.

And it should also be noted that the lyrics in the chorus of AATW are FUCKING SHIT. Meaningless, utter shit. There's no geting around it.

Of course comparatively 'All Around The World' paraded around, far overstaying its welcome I might add, with the flayed skins of John and George stretched it over it's nauseatingly inflated bod. La-la-la-la-la. I like Go Let It Out, and it’s undoubtedly one of Oasis strongest post-90s songs. But I think that for all it’s sophisticated production, it’s essentially not anything special from Oasis. A bit like Who Feels Love, I feel it’s an instance where some gimmicks in the studio mask the song’s standard nature. I think it also started a trend where songs were very heavily indebted to just a couple of influences to overcome Noel’s relative lack of inspiration at the time, a trend that Noel continued with right until Who Built The Moon. Where things were previously a mere ‘nod’ to certain bands as Noel’s own inspiration and power of melody presided over anything else, this is where the influences became a full on head butt, and thus increasing the claims they were rip off merchants. This is where all those cliches from Noel started to ring true for song descriptions - e.g. ‘Kinks meet T-Rex’ ‘Bowie meets Rolling Stones etc’, and then it got to a point where some songs were just a direct rip off without any attempt to conceal it (e.g. The Kinks influenced Noel songs on his first album or the utterly wretched Girl With X Ray Eyes). Not saying this means all his sons were shit from that point, but I feel All Around The World has that spirit of melody and optimism that makes it deservedly part of the golden era, Beatles influence notwithstanding. Importantly, its own sense of melodic power drives the tune itself and makes it feel authentic as opposed to just the influence of The Beatles.

Like it should even be considered: All Around The World has balls! It's one of THE best Oasis songs whereas Go Let It Out is just ok
