Yeah. Toughest fight of hatton's career. Think it'll be a close one, but hopefully he'll edge it.

quality fight! slight anti-climax with the way Tszyu conceded - i was buzzing for the 12th round and then....it was 'oh its over...hmmm' lol. but nah great for Hatton and he definitely deserved it there was no way the other guy was coming back after about round 7 or 8, it was Hatton all the way looks like Hatton still has a couple of years to go before he truly steps up to that level but its all a learning curve of course. apparantly Aturo Gatti may be a future opponent so the NY boxing fans on here should look forward to that one if it happens! nice one Ricky! the undercard was shit though. lord - WTF was the danny williams fight about? the most amatuer-ish fight ive seen. the commentators were embarrassed...

I'm jealous i wish i saw the fight....Considering how Hatton beat a great boxer and as madforret put it a legend in Tszyu...How do you think Hatton will fare against other welters such as Mayweather and Gatti? I loved both boxers last night but if i had to lean one way i was rooting more for Tszyu...

Williams was fighting some big fat lumbering hungarian guy who looked like he'd just rolled in from the nearest pub. honestly looked like his first time in the ring even though he'd had 50 previous fights... he kept falling over when he missed his punches, slight scrapes of william's gloves were enough to knock him down.... oh man there was one quality moment - he had williams in a headlock with his left arm and decided to throw a punch at williams face (around his own back) with his right arm! Ian darke said it was the strangest punch he'd ever seen Tszyu looked like he lacked stamina and sharpness. yeah he's 35 now but thats not very old in boxing terms really is it? apparantly he's only had 3 rounds of boxing in the previous 2 and a half years - it showed i guess... after the first 4 or 5 rounds of the Hatton fight, he faded badly

That hatton fight was class. I reckon tszyu will probably retire now. Anyone see one of the fights before it though were that fella got knocked out. And i mean KNOCKED THE FUCK OUT!! Can't remember their names but one of them took a dig and a half to the chin and bit the dust. That was a good fight too.

I didn't get to see it. Maybe I'll catch a rerun this week.
actually a few good fights coming up this month:
Miquel Cotto is my fav fighter!!!
On June 11, Miguel Cotto will step into the ring against Muhammad Abdullaev for the WBO Jr. Welterweight Championship. Also, Joel Casamayor will face Almazbek Raiymkulov on this HBO televised card being held at Madison Square Garden in New York. Glen Johnson and Antonio Tarver will square off, for the second time, on June 18, live on HBO. Also on the card is Verno Phillips versus Ike Quartey.
On June 25, the Boardwalk Hall, in Atlantic City, New Jersey, will host the HBO PPV bout between Arturo Gatti and Floyd Mayweather for the WBC Jr. Welterweight Crown and thus, end June with a spectacular match up

The 140 division is amazing right now with Hatton, Cotto, Gatti, Mayweather, Harris etc. I'm not a huge boxing fan but I'm looking forward to some good fights between that lot in the next few years.
