Didn't suit the English Game, he'll go down as a flop at United but also a cult hero for what he done against Liverpool. He is doing superb at the moment and I wish him the best of luck

henry was injured for a while and didnt have a partnership for most of the season - reyes was dreaming of madrid - robin was starting roits - and denise was still trying to run onto the pitch - funny they were all amazin at the end of the season when henry was out

The Spanish league is weak compared to The Premiership & Serie A. Hence Forlan doing well in Spain. And there were no Spanish sides beyond the second round of the Champions League this year. And I bet it'll be the same again next year because the likes of Madrid and Barcelona simply cannot defend like Chelsea, Liverpool, Milan, Juventus etc. Same reasons why Arsenal & Man Utd fail in Europe too.

i dont think so: in spain, you have: ronaldo, raul, zidane, figo, beckham, puyol, ronaldinho, giuly, etoo, ricardo oliveira, assuncao, riquelme, ayala, aimar, roberto carlos, and others...but i still love english premiership and i dont like serie A, but i think if one player can play in Serie A he could play in anywhere...

Most of those top spanish players you mentioned haven't been at their best for about three years now. The Spanish league was the best from about 2000-2002 as Real Madrid's dominance in the Champions League proved, and Barca got to the semi-final, and the all-Spanish final in 2000 etc. But recently Spanish teams have been weak in Europe. An Italian team has been in the final three times in the past three years (Milan & Juve in 2003 and Milan this year). Juventus have eliminated Madrid from the competition TWICE in the past three seasons! The Spanish league is on the way down, and the top teams from England and Italy are getting better and better (Juventus will be much better next season now Capello has had time to work with them over a season).

The problem is people seem to live on sterotypes from the past about Italian football being defensive and boring, its not anymore. They had the most exciting league in Europe in terms of competitiveness this season. The title race wasn't officially finished until 1 or 2 weeks before the end of the season unlike England. And talk about a close relegation fight? 19th to 8th positions in Serie A ended up being seperate by just 4 points! The problem is people who never watch Italian football keep living in the past talking about it being defensive and boring.

By the way I still enjoy watching the Spanish league (as well as England and Italy), I'm just talking about recent success, the Spanish teams have been waning. In terms of which league is most enjoyable to watch its all a matter of personal opinion, like saying "which is the best band"
