First things firsts, I should say that I like the Pixies, but don't obsess over them.
I don't know if Noel has said much about The Pixies but he seems to have some level of respect for them:
When discussing the impact Nirvana and their Nevermind album had on his music, he said "[Nirvana] weren't doing anything that The Pixies hadn't done, but they were fucking brilliant".
Apparently, Married With Children borrows its guitar riff from Pixies Where Is My Mind. I think its more Nirvana - Lithium than anything else though.
Apparently, Noel got the song name Champagne Supernova when he misheard the name of a Pixies album, Bossanova.

Not sure but I think one or two of The Pixies are/were big Oasis fans

He might have respect for them, but I don't think he's a fan. He thought (and, as far as I know, still thinks) that the Surfer Rosa tune 'Cactus' was written by David Bowie sometime in the early 00s for his album Heathen.

The Pixies are my favourite band (I do obsess over them) so it's disappointing but no Noel doesn't like them. He said in an interview with Matt Morgan (who is a fan) that apart from 'Monkey Gone To Heaven' they were rubbish - or something like that. But yes you're right about the story about Bossanova and so is theyknowwhatimean . He gave big props to Bowie over 'Cactus', haha.
Oh and I agree that Married With Children is much more like Lithium.

He also made similar remarks about Nirvana in the 1990s, now he praises them no end. He does contradict himself, I mean he gave REM a lot of grief (saying their tours were boring, that he'd never buy their albums, was it him who said Stype should die of AIDS?), but at some point he respected them enough to lift the riff from The One I Love and turn it into Morning Glory
Do you know what interview it was where he said that thing about Bossanova?

From what I've read Noel's always given Nirvana some props musically. The criticisms I recall were to do with Kurt Cobain's attitude to being famous and the title 'I Hate Myself and I Want to Die'.
Unfortunately I don't have a source for the Bossanova quote but here it is in full:
Noel: "When I was writing that, I remember going to visit Meg, who was living with some chicks down in Maida Vale, in her old flat. I was living in a hotel in Marylebone High Street and had just been kicked out of my flat in Chiswick, for being drunk and disorderly. Anyway, I went over to Meg´s. I wasn't seeing her, she was just a mate and, this may sound really corny but I had the music and melody for the song in my head but I didn't have any words. While I was around there we were listening to a Pixies album called, I think it's... Supernova. As we were listening to this album, we were watching a documentary about where they make Champagne in France. You may laugh but it's true. I was there drunk going, "Champagne supernova? Yeah man" and to this day, everyone’s going, "But what does it mean?". I can't be arsed to explain it cos it sounds really corny. Some of the lyrics were written when I was out of it. There’s the words: "Someday you will find me caught beneath a landslide in a champagne supernova in the sky.""
I watched the full Matt Morgan interview, neither of them mentioned The Pixies.
Noel made the "Rubbish" comment during a radio show (possibly one of the ones with Russell Brand). He said Matt looked like a Pixies fan because of his beard, haha. If I find it again one day I'll post it here.
"I went backstage there was some player’s fucking Umbro gear just sitting there and I thought, ‘I’m having a bit of that’, tried it on, fucking freebie innit and, and I fucking pinched it and fucking wore it. Our kid should have put the ref’s gear on shouldn’t he, and we could’ve all sung “who’s that bastard in the black”.”

Found that interview yet? The one where he says the Pixies weren't very good apart from "Monkey Gone To Heaven"?

I can't say I have, sorry. It was on YouTube somewhere. If I stumble across it again I'll be sure to post it here.

I recall Noel once saying in an interview that Nirvana "didn't do anything the Pixies hadn't already" (or words to that effect). It wasn't a knock on Nirvana. Noel was just pointing out he was aware that alternative rock with loud/quiet dynamics was already a thing and it was just that Nirvana were the band who broke it into the mainstream. Noel might not be a fan of the band but he's certainly aware of their place in rock history.

I'm sure he started slagging REM after the Slane Castle Gig in which Oasis supported them. Morning Glory predates said concert.
themasterplanet: A Northern Soul by The Verve! My second favourite album by them. I love the atmosphere of it, it’s very dreamy and melancholic and dark. It holds many memories for me and I think that’s partly responsible for why I love it so much.

Bring It On Dan: I have so much shit on an old hard drive somewhere but I just cannot find it. Nothing 'out there' but probably 200 gigs or so. I can't remember the name of the site that had all the gigs listed and sources for loads of gigs next to it? I remember RKID 003.
