only Uruguyian players coming to my head are Diego Forlan, he comes from uruguy, and made the scousers cry. Doing very well for himself in Spain, hattrick v Barca last week. Fabien O'Neill ex Juve wasn't he? don't know where he is now. your man that played for newcastle your man Rodriguez who scored a cracker in the last World Cup otherwise I know nothing about the current affairs of the team. They were also a force to be reconed with back in the early days of the world cup

Manteca Martinez, el chino Recoba, Enzo Franchescoli, el negrito Olivera, Forlan, etc , etc.
Uruguay has a lot of excellent players, i can´t understand why is so hard to qualify to a World Cup.

Because Argentina and Brazil are in there...so that leaves what?..two tickets left?...Colombia and Chile are quite tough....if any of those were in the CONCACAF they would qualify without a problem...Geography is the responsible here I guess....
