I can`t believe Chinatown is actually winning, Bring the Light is much better, would make me dance even at 6 a.m. in the morning after the massive night out drinkin` and smokin and so on, what a tune

Chinatown is gonna win this. I know some of the lyrics are complete cheese but the vibe and soundscape are fantastic.

Shitty lyrics vs purposefully surreal, very basic lyrics. One was a band who came up with a kinda catchy, fun little piano ditty that should've have never been a single, but would've been a very well received album track. the other is some guy riffing off of Liam's school of writing and lucking into a laid back, lazy, psychedelic little gem of a tune with a blissful chorus that lives and dies by Liam's unique delivery.
Bring The Light is the better song when stripped back. Chinatown is the better recording by miles though. I'd much rather listen to Chinatown in my earphones but I'd rather hear Bring The Light live.

If Chinatown had better verses and wasn't the second song we heard from the album (what a baffling decision that remains), I'd like it a lot more. Still better than Bring the Light though.

And it really showed that the LAG camp had no quality control what so ever, which was slightly improved on BE but not enough to stop the ship from sinking.
No wonder Noel had rejected the majority of DGSS in Oasis.

I don't like either, but at least Chinatown sounds more modern and has beautiful vocals even if it's only half a okay song (awful versus).
Bring The Light is the definition of cringe.
I still can't believe I stuck around for a Beady Eye release after hearing it, because I was so disappointed. I literally said aloud "What is this shit?!" after I first heard it.
