Maybe he will play before Paul or the Cure 2019 Original post is here: www.efestivals.co.uk/forums/topic/227439-so-stormzy-then/I read it to mean Liam in 2019 then Noel the “next” year, meaning 2020. Can’t see them both playing the same year. Liam is closer to having an album ready for 2019. X

If The Cure are headlining I hope that means they've got an album ready to go. I know they went into the studio a few months back, but you can never take Robert Smith on his word on anything Cure related. It's been ten years since the last one already!

No way Noel is headlining the main stage there. Even Liam would be more likely as he is a bigger draw at the moment for festivals. I think Liam will play the slot right before the headliner in the end - Macca probably.

In fact, I don’t agree the rapper to headline Glastonbury. It needs some emotional ballads for the end of festival.

Glastonbury sells out no matter the headliners- there's no need for them to worry about Noel not drawing like Reading/Leeds.
The more interesting thing is that after Noel saying the Joshua Tree proved that stadium's weren't for him and staying on the boutique festival circuit, doing something this big is strange.
Definitely plans to have another album out in 2020, or, potentially, a Best of.

The Verve weren't bad at all, i enjoyed it but Jay-Z showed you don't need anthemic flag wavers to be a good headliner. The crowd was buzzing during his performance, great atmosphere.

Jay Z and The Verve are too different to compare, although Jay is the more important artist without doubt. Both are immense live by all accounts, would have loved to have seen the Watch the Throne tour.
And I highly doubt Noel will be headlining any major festivals.

The Verve were fucking brilliant at Glastonbury. One of my favourite ever live shows.

I saw them in Blackpool in a venue that only holds 3k and Glastonbury blew it away.

High Flying Birds are announced to headline This Is Tomorrow Festival in May 2019, didn`t really expect they`ll do some shows in 2019, maybe some more dates will be announced, who knows...

You must be joking... right? The whole band was on fire here... That performance of Bitter Sweet Symphony was beyond incredible. Phenomenal. It's a nice revival moment. Heartfelt, passionate and sincere performance, the crowd goes predictably mental etc., but I think Bitter Sweet live always sounded a bit cheap and too designed and out of place for the incredible musicianship this band actually had. Now here's a young band on fire, 15 years earlier:
