He's had a very productive last 10 years. 6 studio albums, all of which have been reviewed positively. And a soundtrack to a film. And an EP, and some B-sides and non-album singles on top of that. But, yeah, they should probably be giving those kind of things out to 20-30 somethings, who are in the midst of making their most vital music, rather than geezers who've been going 40+ years. They should have given him Best Solo Act instead. He's more deserving of it than our Noel, who's only about half as good as he could be if he wasn't such a lazy arse. That would require 20 or 30 somethings to actually be half-decent, though. And there about three bands/artists I can think of in that bracket that are. Arctic Monkeys probably deserved something. Like 'going completely west at the biggest stage of their career' award, because they are the biggest guitar (piano) contemporary band about atm. Yeah, I’d agree with that. Really love the last Monkeys album. I was almost through with them after not having cared much for the two before it, but, credit where credit’s due, they showed great balls flipping everything on it’s head for their new one. They might not have been rewarded with great commercial success, but I think it’ll hold them in good stead for the future, the fact they’ve been prepared to take chances and challenge their audience.

From that interview it sounds like we are not getting anymore live dates for this album. Quite a short tour for Noel/Oasis related.

The fact Noel was at tramlines and Liam did 2 headline shows to a combined 100,000 tells you who is better live.
You're very much in the minority if you think Noels album was better than Liams. Just because there's a few different sounds on there doesnt make his songs any better. On that logic, Ed Sheerhan is the best live act in the world. And also, the album thing is entirely down to opinion. I like Liam's album. I like Noel's more. They've both got their good and bad points. I prefer going to see Noel for the musicianship. I like that he's changing how he plays and the band are developing with him. I prefer that to seeing Jay butcher Rock N Roll Star every single fucking time. Not really. Every oasis fan has listened to both albums and heard both live and many many more choose to watch Liam. Bit different to 90,000 clueless girls watching a guitar and loop pedal like it's the greatest thing ever, they'll grow up eventually. If you prefer that than fairplay. I loved seeing Noel live too. Let's just not pretend Liam isn't more popular at the moment because he is.

The album isn't everybody's taste, I get it. Live, he's nailed it. The band have nailed it. And it shits over Liam musically (and that's not a slate against Liam for what Liam is, btw). I can say that with some certainty and conviction, given I've seen them both live three times in the last 14 months. That Tramlines gig Noel did is hands down the best Gallagher-related concert I've been to. The fact Noel was at tramlines and Liam did 2 headline shows to a combined 100,000 tells you who is better live. You're very much in the minority if you think Noels album was better than Liams. Just because there's a few different sounds on there doesnt make his songs any better. Wow, did his band really play for 100,000 people? I hope the dude on the left didn't f*Ck up his solos again 😬
