Looking forward to this.
I've stayed clear of the singles so that everything will be fresh on first-listen

Looking forward to this. I've stayed clear of the singles so that everything will be fresh on first-listen Singles were a bit uneven for me. I dont know is a very Chaos and creation ballad, elegant, very good. Come on to me is goofy Macca. Nice and fun and maybe a bit too long. Fuh you is a bit cringey in the way Macca is trying to make some kind of 2018 hit, but its catchy too

I Don’t Know is a nice enough tune, but very bland lyrically, for me. Whenever I hear him sing, “My brother told me life’s not a pain, but that was right when it started to rain,” I’m reminded of Noel at his laziest—or Liam at any time.
Come Back to Me is fun. Definitely my favourite of the singles.
In two minds on Fuh You. As the OP said, it’s definitely cringey when you first hear it, but it’s also pretty catchy as well. I think the fact the backing track has been recorded with actual instruments, rather than solely on a computer, saves it. That Kinksian harpsichord keyboard sound is pleasingly anachronistic on a song of this style and produced in this way..

People saying, is that McCartney? So they recognized him, then said what the hell. Saw him last October. Tix supposed include a copy of the new record. Wondering, do I still get that 11 months later?

Wasn't this produced by Kurstin? Come On To Me sorta has that same sound as some of the stuff on As You Were.

Live Macca stream from NY starting soon. Pretty simple. Paul's 76 years old. Still a boss.

Will need to give it more listens, but so far I’m really enjoying the run of tracks just past the halfway mark, ‘Hand in Hand’ to ‘Dominoes’ to ‘Back in Brazil’.
Some nice vocals on the first two—even though his voice is pretty much shagged nowadays, he can still sound sweet when he’s in his head voice—and I think the storytelling element of ‘Brazil’ is nicely done.
By the way, what a nice CD package! If CDs are to survive the vinyl revival, they have to put some more effort into the presentation and production of the cases, like Macca’s people have obviously done here. Let’s have no more of those bloody awful boxed plastic monstrosities that break as soon as you open them and don’t allow enough space to fit the liner notes booklet in without punching holes in it!!

Thinking he is 76 years old, and with the enormous and distant past he has, its pretty incredible he still is trying things in 2018. His voice is quite shot sometimes and there is some weak moments in the album. But he is so fuhing good... only the two last songs are in relity like 8 fragments put together. No one does what he does. He is a league on his own.

Was listening to this the other day. Come On To Me is brilliant.
Though I do find it a bit odd listening to a 76 year old sing a song about meeting a girl he wants to bone.

He looks so much better with grey hair. It was the first thing I noticed when watching him at Fallon and I think it's great. Just accept the fact you're 76 and that you were lucky enough to reach that age, because many of your peers haven't.

He looks so much better with grey hair. Now Ringo needs to follow suit. Dyed hair AND beard is not a good look, mate. ‘Specially not when you’re pushing 80! 🙈😂

Still need to buy this album, but hoping to get it tomorrow. In the meantime, read this fascinating and lengthy interview with Macca. www.gq.com/story/the-untold-stories-of-paul-mccartneyI love Macca interviews with somebody who really knows their stuff about him. Unfortunately, it’s mostly the big interviewers with surface level knowledge who get the chance to talk to him, and as ever it results in Macca never really being tested, with him resorting to well worn anecdotes. I always thought it was something to do with him being a ‘Sir’ and with such national treasure status that he was a lot more coy and self-conscious in recent years (he was certainly unfairly reviled by many in the 1970s and 1980s), but it simply turns out he’s been interviewed by the wrong people. This one is great. He’s not going to be here for eternity, so make the most of the time we have with him left.

‘Confidante’ is a nice idea, but the resulting song is rather drab, in my opinion. I wouldn’t’ve minded it getting cut, to be honest, along with ‘Fuh You’ and maybe ‘Do it Now’.
I have a soft spot for albums that are a bit longer than they need be (so long as they’re not completely awful, obviously), but there’s no way this should be nearly an hour long. Still, it’s solid and pretty good. I’m glad it exists.

All that weird talking about masturbation and what not seemed to have helped, 'cause it came in at #2 in the Dutch album top100.
Also, I noticed I have never heard of about 30 of the artists in said top 100. Who are all these people?! That's it then, I'm officially out of the loop when it comes to new "music".
