As being a big fan of Erland & The Carnival and The Magnetic North myself, I've been impressed by Hannah Peel's work past years. She's a very talented musician/composer and recently she contributed to Weller's new album "True Meanings". Besides her work with The Magnetic North, She released a couple of albums on her own and her new album "Particles In Space" is just fantastic. Here's a bit about this album from Hannah's official website: Each track becoming a new collaborative reimagining. Including artists from Northern Ireland, France, Japan and Scotland, Peel discovered a range of incredible engineers, producers and artists that are either with small independent labels or self-releasing material themselves. With a shared love for space exploration and early electronic role models like Delia Derbyshire and Daphne Oram, this remix album reveals a selection of new artists – much like the constant discovery of new particles in our galaxy and beyond.

This track is fabulous. I should definitely listen to the rest! You'll like other songs from this album as well. I also purchased "Redbox" as well. It's an EP with 4 cover songs (Blue Monday, Electricity, Sugar Hiccup and Tainted Love). She's marvelous.

This is really great, I’m a huge fan of the routes that both Hannah and Erland have taken with their music recently - they’ve really taken it into other-worldly and imaginative territory like all great ambient music.
Wonder if she will tour this as I’m definitely willing to see her live.

I'm pretty sure one of them (or both) will join him at his Royal Festival Hall gig with orchestra in October.

Her new album "Chalk Hill Blue" is out yesterday. You can watch ‘Change’ directed by Kieran Evans: theyknowwhatimean, it might not your cup of tea, but Hannah is a very talented multi composer/musician as you already know her recent work with Weller, so check her out.

Thanks, mimmihopps. I've followed her on Spotify now. Will try and remember to give her album a listen (and then buy it, if I like it). But I will say this, I think I've decided my favourite recording on Other Aspects, the new Weller live album: Strange Museum. And it's mostly because of Hannah's orchestral arrangement why I love it so much. She very cleverly references Weller's biggest inspirations. There's the brass parping classic R&B licks, the strings sounding a bit Curtis Mayfield, and the flutes for that melancholic, very English folk sound that he loves so much. Very will done. I hope they work together again.
