Beady Eye May have been a commercial failure...but I still believe the band yielded two good albums. BE being waaay better than DGSS.
Beady Eye also demonstrated that Liam preferred being in a band, not just a solo act. The 2011 Beady Eye gifs were loud Rick n roll like Oasis. The early HFB gigs were tame in comparison, while Noel was figuring out the front man thing.
I think it’s actually ironic how the two brothers have swapped...Liam in a band, now solo with a fair bit of ballady material...whereas Noel felt really solo on that first tour, but has now built a real firecracker band/live sound on this current tour.
I don’t think Liam woulda been good solo from the get-go. And if Noel has joined a band/started one not named after himself, we wouldn’t have gotten the 40+ Noel penned tunes of the last seven years.
All in all...we’re gettibg double-the-Gallagher, so I think Oasis not reforming has its benefits.

No regrets about Beady Eye for me, they were part of Liam reaching this point in his career. I actually think they were capable of better and underachieved had they taken a little more time and been more shrewd in picking the tracklist for DGSS. Live they were utterly brilliant.
I'll never criticise Liam or the others for wanting to continue playing and writing music with their mates. Maybe it wasn't the right commercial choice but it was a personal choice and I respect it more so because of it.

Although I’m chuffed he’s successful again. It’s annoyed me in a way, how fickle and senile the majority of the British public are, suddenly deciding he’s great again and jumping on the bandwagon of ‘wow he’s back’ as though he’d been a recluse since BHN. Someone else also mentioned this - but the way Oasis post 2000 and Beady Eye has just been completely airbrushed - also annoying. With the timeline now going DM>MG>Knebworth>Split>AYW
