We haven't done one of these threads in ages.
Because we have added new members, as well as opinions changing over time let's do another one.
My ranking has remained pretty much unchanged for years now, though:
1. Definitely Maybe

2. What's the Story
---
3. Be Here Now
---
4. Dig Out Your Soul
5. Standing on the Shoulder Giants
6. Don't Believe the Truth
---
7. Heathen Chemistry
The top 3 albums are etched in stone, although Be Here Now is my favorite and most played album despite it not being the best. And DOYS/SOTSOG/DBTT have always been tough to separate but DBTT has aged poorly surprisingly, and those three are starting to settle in that current order. And, of course, HC last.

SOTSOG isn't a shitty album, but the worst tracks on it are the worst of any other Oasis album. I know people will counter with Heathen Chemistry, but I simply don't agree. Songs like Probably All in the Mind are lame, but they don't offend me, like for example I Can See A Liar does.

What surprises me is how badly DBTT has aged - I know this has been covered in other threads, but upon release in 2005 it was hailed as a return to form and up their with their earlier material. DBTT was such a pivotal album for the band's revival. And it is still a good album - it's a consistent album with some very good tracks, but it just sounds dated. It's a strange one. |

It's just a bit boring, isn't it? All the "ballady" tracks are forgettable, and closing the album by having three of them in a row really wasn't the best decision of Noel's career. |

I rarely listen to any of the albums start to finish, so for me I couldn't care any less about which is my favorite. That said... the one album I do on a regular basis listen to straight thru is Be Here Now.
I don't hate any of them.
