I was watching the Live at the O2 Ritz video where he introduced "Alone on the Rope" as a song that was never released before... when the crowd cheered he said his classic "Don't cheer you don't know it".
YES WE ALL DO NOEL! It's been out for 7 years and is actually a fan favorite here!
I know he's not a big internet user but I'm amazed at this. The song was indeed released in Germany only back in 2011 (which was already a ridiculous concept with the Internet...) but even after all this time he doesn't even realize that this song is old news? FFS!
Plus he played it live in 2012.
Come on!

Surprised really, you'd think a music fanatic like Noel would recognise the potential of the internet. Great tool for finding bootlegs and live shows.

Everyones really confused about it. It was on Amazon Germany or something for an afternoon. When he played it in 2012 he got grumpy when no one cheered for it "This ones called Alone On The Rope......See? No one fucking knows it.". The only way to get a physical copy of Alone On The Rope til this release was on a bootleg silver CD. Imagine if we never discovered it.

Maybe when Noel said "You don't know it" he was thinking "99% of you don't know it, yet you all cheer".

It is still available on Amazon in the US, as it has been since 2011.

Noel's memory is literally non-existent.
