Leeds are on target to be promoted next season, after being relegated in the 2003/04 season. Would be 16 years!
So weird having clubs that you grew up watching practically vanish: Leeds, Coventry, Blackburn, Bolton, Derby, Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday, Sunday, and Wimbledon of course.

Practically disappeared? Why, because they are not in the Premier League? Pretty much all those clubs have a more loyal fan base than the club you claim to support, and at least their stadiums are not full of tourists wearing half and half scarves. Typical comment from the Sky Sports generation who only watch football on TV.

Should Arsenal beat Man Utd tonight, it will eliminate Man Utd from contending for a top 4 place (Man Utd would be a massive 11 points behind Arsenal). And perhaps would bring Mourinho the sack, which is always a joy to behold.
While Man Utd are there for the taking today, I'm predicting a 1-1 draw. I believe that Arsenal will be way too knackered after the intense 4-2 win over Spurs at the weekend.
Frankly, a draw would be fine with me as 4 points from Spurs + Man Utd would be a solid return.

I was watching some pre-match coverage this morning and saw a West Ham fan drinking a Coors Light, which is essentially water - I could drink about a billion Coors Light in one sitting.....don't get me bong, Coors Light isn't disgusting, it's just basically water....
Thanks.

26 - Manchester United have picked up 26 points after their first 17 Premier League games; their worst points haul in the top-flight at this stage since 1990-91 (also 26 points).
Moyes no longer looks that terrible. Welp.

Like Keano said, most of these players are good players but not good enough for Man United. They were shite today and it was embarrassing to watch at times. I think Jose has to go but it's a very difficult job and it will take a few years with good recruitment to get United competing for the title again.

Make no mistake Moyes was shit at United, no matter how bad we are now does not remove the fact he took the champions to 7th.

How pathetic Mourinho is these days. Can’t say I feel sorry for him, what goes round comes round - always was a c*nt.
And with all that money spent. Hilarious.

Been a bewildering season after coming second last season, it seems he can't cope with 3 seasons which is incomprehensible to me.

The amazing thing about the Premier League is that there's almost always summat to play for: The league title, the fight for top 4 Champions League places, fight for Europa League place, and the relegation battle. Only the bang on midtable teams (9th, 10th, 11th) have nowt to play for - too good to be in the relegation battle, too average to be considered for one of the European places. The Americans missed a trick with the concept of relegation ( Let It Bleed).

I said I wouldn't argue on the internet anymore, but I'm drunk, so..... I was thinking the other day while I was dismembering a body, relegation and promotion does incentivize teams to not tank, which is a huge problem in the NBA, for instance - but you're guaranteed that only Man City or Liverpool will win the EPL, fuck that.....for some insane reason, the Philadelpha Eagles somehow won the Super Bowl last year; they won't win it this year.....teams rarely repeat championships in the NFL....I like parity and competition. In case you're wondering, the last NFL team to repeat as Super Bowl champions were the New England Patriots about 15 years ago...... Thanks.

Which shows there’s a lot of luck in American sports - mainly the cause of the playoff system. How the Eagles win the Super Bowl one year and the very next season they are absolute garbage. I like consistency. As you were.

What’s the latest with Roman Abramovich?
The last I heard was that he couldn’t get a VISA for the UK, and is no longer putting as insane finances into Chelsea. Is Chelsea’s era of success somewhat over now? Even Chelsea aren’t competing with Man City on the pitch or in the bank accounts.
Hope so. I hate Chelsea more than any other club. Fuck them.

I like consistency. As you were. I think most notably, the Eagles lost their offensive coordinator, Frank Reich, who is now the head coach of the Indianapolis Colts.... The New England Patriots are consistently good.....they have a great coach, a great quarterback back and great ownership, but, they still don't win the Super Bowl every year, and the winner of the Super Bowl is nornallly a varied team, which makes the sport interesting, for instance....you're guaranteed a top 4 of Man City, Liverpool, Tottenham and Chelsea with Arsenal fighting for a top 4 finish and being happy with that, which is boring.....I do find Manchester United's struggles interesting, which is good for the sport. Thanks.

City losing 3-1 to Palace haha. Quite a few of their fans dressed as blue seats too. City has to win games like that. They can't afford to drop points against the likes of Palace given Liverpool's current form. It makes their match against Liverpool on the 3rd a must-win—especially considering they should have won at Anfield.

I mean, in the strictest definition of the phrase you're correct as he has played professional football for more than one club. Tony Adams of Arsenal would be the prime example here. However, I agree with your friend. Gerrard was a product of Liverpool's academy and spent 17 years with the Liverpool's first team. He went to the MLS, like many do, to retire. I would not hold Gerrard's one year with the LA Galaxy against him here - to me, Gerrard is still a one club man. As you were x. EDIT - I just found this link (which I completely agree with): www.sbnation.com/soccer/2015/1/8/7514467/steven-gerrard-la-galaxy-liverpool-one-club-man
