Behave. Hey Now is a dreary mess. Behave. Hey Now > any NGHFB/BE/LG song. But Liam’s voice is quite good on Hey Now! Agreed, Rocking Chair, Talk Tonight, etc. are exponentially better!

Surely Roll With It must get some credit here for starting out its life as Purple Parallelogram. That nonsense stacks up against Country House's nonsense lyrics any day.

One thing I've always wondered is whether the morning glory and different story lyrics were deliberately put in by Blur or it was just coincidence, as I think both songs came out quite a long time before WTSMG came out.

Acquiesce with its "Morning Glory" intro had come out on the Some might say b-side in May 1995 -the 1st UK number 1 - but its probably just a coincidence.

Roll With It is the weakest song on WTSMG. It's catchy but that's pretty much it. I completely agree. It is the worst on the album, but that is just how amazing the album is, because RWI isn't bad at all, it's good, not great. As for Hey Now!, it's probably the second worst, still very good. But I still maintain that if Hey Now! were released today, it would be described as droning dross (as part of my "any song regardless of quality from 94-97 gets a boost due to era, while any song post 97 regardless of quality gets hindered due to era" theory). Another example is Married With Children. That song would absolutely get the "lazy Lennon pastiche" comment on here if released today. Guarantee certain NGHFB, BE, LG songs released in the 90s, they would be heralded as classics. Dems the breaks I guess.
