Liam was only 36 when Oasis split up.
When you read that sentence, you realize how young he still was.
I do wonder if the age difference made a big difference in the breakup. For while Liam was only in his mid-30s, Noel already had entered his 40s - and then you add the on stage attack which broke Noel’s ribs and you just wonder if the fight he had with Liam was, in Liam’s eyes just a normal incident but for an ‘aging’ Noel it was the last straw as far as putting up with that shit.
I look at Liam now, still only in his mid-40s yet looking young and fresh again whereas Noel is now in his 50s.
Normally, age gaps become less noticeable as you age but the dynamic between the Gallagher brothers would suggest otherwise as far as Rock N Roll, and ultimately Oasis, goes.
I’ve said it many times before: Noel will not reunite Oasis in his 60s. If it’s going to happen, it will be in the next 10 years. But I think age caught up with Noel in the end - it’s well documented that he wanted to slow down as he separated himself from the band during the DOYS era.

I love Oasis and Gallagher brothers. I support both of them by buying their records and going to their gigs. Oasis are and will always be one of my 3 life time bands. No matter how Noel's and Liam's solo career will grow, none of them can beat Oasis.
But I'm happy with their solo outputs, so give me that instead of Oasis in DOYS era.

That's literally two of my lifetimes. Mind you, I've done fuck-all.

Well if you've been in a band for 18 years and then split up while you're still only 36 years old, then yes it's quite young.

As someone who is approaching 30 I say 36 is young. So fuck off. just realised my post made it sound like i was under 30...im not. youll see when you get there. its not a mental or physical thing (im still 21 in my mind), but more of a social thing. @driver7 : accomplishing so much so young would actually make him seem 'older'...

Yeah that's my point. yeah, i can see how we're saying the same thing, but meaning something different. he seems older than 36, yes, but that doesnt make 36 young.

I agree that Liam was young during his whole stint in Oasis. 36 is not old at all in his music genre and also considering how long he's been in the business at that point. He was only 23 when he played Knebworth, that's crazy! That's about my age and I can't see me or my mates pulling something like that off at all.

It doesn't really matter what ages. When they split is voice sounded like an asthmatic 80 year old.
