What’s all that about exactly God being a dick. And incest.

I love the deep sound of the Em B7 chord riff in the verses and the chorus is decent bar the obvious line or two. Nice Bside, it fits the SBM single perfectly. I love how all the songs fade into one another. It's one if my favourite oasis singles as an EP.

I wonder what Liam's reaction was when he read the lyrics May have been slightly confusedThe verses of the song are from the original 1991/92 'Lock All The Doors' demo. Here: Noel re-worked the title and chorus, based around the band 'Sister Lover' who feature in the Supersonic doc. They're the all-girl band from the Boardwalk that got Oasis on the bill at King Tut's on that faithful night in 1993. The rest, as they say, is history, with the 'Lock All The Doors' chorus disappearing until Chasing Yesterday was released. In terms of the song history from there, it was demo'd in Mustique (May/June 1996) and pretty much done exactly the same way for the final recording (Ridge Farm studios, late 1996). It was released on the Stand By Me single in September 1997. Ya, I know all that I’s just wondering what Liam’s reaction must’ve been when he was asked to sing “I’m your lover, your my brother” Rather dubious, but he was probs too *coked* up to care
Brotherly love

Sister Lovers were a band Noel kicked about with were they not? That's where the title comes from.

Sister Lovers were a band Noel kicked about with were they not? That's where the title comes from. They shared rehearsal space under the Boardwalk with Oasis, one of the band was a girl called Debbie Turner who knew Alan McGee, and initially didn't rate Oasis much until they had worked with The Real People and noticed a change in their sound. Her band was also on at King Tuts the night Alan McGee watched Oasis perform, and his own recollection is that Eighteen Wheeler were adamant that he should sign Sister Lovers instead of Oasis McGee talked about him knowing Debbie since his Hacienda partying days and that night in Glasgow as part of a Daily Record interview in November 2013- Daily Record Nov 2013

The Stand By Me EP is superb, and is probably the best single and B sides released during BHN. I got the Fever is one of my favourite B sides. MSL is very good too, and Going Nowhere is an undisputed classic.
