After one full listen, I’m giving it a 2/5 and that’s being bloody generous at this rate.
After repeated listens it may grow or I may adjust it down even. Either way, I’m glad I listened to this on Spotify - I’m not shilling out $9.99 for this utter abomination. Poor form.
Only Four Out Of Five is half decent.

Have it a 2/5 after 1.5 listens. The shocking part is, the first time I went to Target to buy it, it appeared to be sold out. Like, an actual tag on the shelf w/ a price and no more CDs, so I was encouraged that at least folks are buying CDs/it.
Anyways...listened to it while driving to Philly and about fell asleep. Unless you’re gonna sit and listen to the inflections in Alex’s signing and get lost in the lyrical surrealism....there aren’t a single hook on the disc. Wtf. Do what you want with a piano, but as a longtime enjoyer of everything they’ve put out, this just leaves me scratching my head for some hooks/melody.
Im sure it’ll grow a little with more familiarity, but after AM success, this ain’t gonna yield a hit single AT ALL.

Going to Target to buy an album or the fact people still buy CDs?

Wtf is wrong w/ CDs? And Target at least works w/ major labels to bring new releases some prominence. My local used record shop that I frequent doesn’t bother stocking new CDs.
You buy the cd, upload the tunes to yer iPod/cloud and then you have it digitally + physical copy for the car/collection.
Buying new vinyl seems to be where the industry wants to go as far as physical copies. Vinyls don’t play in cars, helloooo. And I have no desire to stream music or any belief that avenue makes the artists any real $$.

2,5/5
Indifferent at first, liked it much more the second and third time, now I'm somewhere in between. It's an even album without any stinkers, but the best tracks are not good enough to make it great.
WPSIATWIN 4,5/5 FWN 3,5/5 Humbug 2,5/5 SIAS 3/5 AM 1/5 TBHC 2,5/5

You know the Arctic Monkeys have flopped when they can’t even gain the Oasis fan base. Shocking stuff.

It's just not a very good album, reminds me of a Flight of the Concords album without the jokes. I really liked AM so was pretty excited about this but it just doesn't do it for me. Ultracheese is pretty good and 4/5 but the rest is okay to shit.

The single's the most compelling and beguiling Alex Turner song I've ever heard. Haven't heard the album yet.

I had mixed feelings about it, after 1st listen it seemed quite boring, like TLSP minus Miles Kane, but it has grown on me recently.

This how I voted And now, few months later, I will change it to 5/5. I hear album completely different than I was few months ago. It sounded like boring song after another boring song but now I hear classic after classic after classic.
