The same poll was done for AYW, so here’s the equivalent for Noely.
Same, great album for me....still feels a bit incomplete, though. Could use 1 or 2 more songs in the second half.

Yeah, Wednesday part 1 going into If Love Is the Law is great, but I don't like that part 2 comes abruptly after The Man Who Built the Moon. But I still think it's great album otherwise.

I kinda wish Noel left the interlude as one long 4 min track (like he said it was originally) and placed it after She Taught Me How To Fly to break up the two halves. No song should follow TMWBTM.

I'm not sure I've even listened to it for at least two months.

I love every song from the album except for Holy Mountain. Should've been a b-side or something.

Best Oasis related album since Be Here Now.
By some considerable distance.

Best Oasis related album since Be Here Now. By some considerable distance. We’ve said the same about DBTT, DOYS, NGHFB, CY, as well. What does that tell you? Noel has found his song writing prowess after the debacles of SOTSOG and especially HC.....

Still can't listen to more then a few songs off of it, the song quality just isn't there. I've given it multiple chances, but I am very unlikely to ever want to listen to it again...

Noel wrote his worst ever tunes during that period, and his decision making was especially terrible. Yes. Debacle.

I Can See a Liar was so close to being a great song. Worst chorus in Oasis history.

I Can See a Liar was so close to being a great song. Worst chorus in Oasis history. The way it builds up you think it's going to be great.. Noel had written so many great choruses during that time and comes up with that. Disappointed as it had potential.

To do this day, I have no idea why Noel has trouble with picking correct track lists - this shows up in most albums, but especially SOTSOG, HC, and DOYS. Why he hasn't been asked about this acute and chronic problem I have no idea.

So by process of him writing 6 out of however many tracks and that makes it a debacle...it's all debateable anyway. I personally think he's written worse SINCE Oasis split (Soldier Boys, The Right Stuff, The Girl With X-Ray Eyes to name just 3)

Why he hasn't been asked about this acute and chronic problem I have no idea. To be fair he's often called himself an idiot when it comes to picking tracklists, singles and b-sides. In the early days he could get away with it because he had so many quality tunes but as you say, the latter albums could have done with some outside input when it came to the tracklists. This latest album is probably a bit different because of the way it was written.

Listened to it the other day, it’s alright but still doesn’t do that much for me. TMWBTM is a fucking glorious song though.

Relistened to it in full after only doing it once on the launch day when I was knackered. A lot better than I remembered!
