Sorry for being late. Just signed up for an account and got approved today.
First off, for the most part I loved the gig and setlist. Here are a few high lights:
Crowd:
Was shocked at how full it was after hearing reports of Detroit being 80 percent full. Was preparing for 50 percent empty.
Alot of Fairweather fans. Lots of talking, laughing, and ignoring the stage. Phones lit up for Wonderwall and DLBIA.
There was a die hard by me though who made the amusing comment "enough with the elevator music" after Wonderwall.
Band:
I thought the Fort Knox Holy Mountain combo was maybe the best 1-2 opening for any Gallagher performance.
I agree with the guy in the DC thread.Gem seems like a totally different guy from his Oasis days. Maybe it's because he's a hired gun now, but he seems disconnected and seems sort of off. Noticed it especially the first half hour
The red head backup singer. There's no way her keyboard is plugged in 😀
Noel's vocals were way out of tune for "What a Life"
Otherwise it was a cool show!

Yeah between his stage demeanor and the stage left interview a while back, I think 2 things are clear: - he didn’t escape unfazed from his head injury - we (and he) are all extremely lucky he’s still alive and playing so well. |

I was in Detroit and not Columbus, and I thought the opposite about Gem. It was awesome seeing him out there and the only time he looked anything close to bored was when he was playing Dream On and All You Need Is Love because those are probably about the least-challenging guitar songs out there. His Riverman solo was impeccable.
