Great show. Probably first time for a lot of us at the venue. It was a great big house, but it looked every bit of 90% full. Some empty seats in the floor seats (two right next to me in Row K, wahooo).
Show was great. I really liked all the new material. He played the same setlist as he’s started with. It was really loud, which I like. With all the backup singers, I felt it was almost too much back up vocal at times.
Handful of laughable mistakes on the encore. Mike Rowe goofed on keys during DITW; Chris cymbal-smashed the end of GLIO one beat too soon; Gem forgot he needed to change guitars before DLBIA. Noel has fun with it all, pleading for Rowe’s goof to get YouTubed.
Noel was bang on as usual. Lots of emotive singing. This iteration of the HFB is definitely the most powerful. Gem looks like an old man w/ dementia though. Just saying.
I was gonna start a thread re the VIP experience, but violia, it was in an open air space that you could see from up above. Looked like some cool Brit Awards/Gold discs behind glass and a bunch of old magazines. About a half-dozen folks sitting there with us above hawking down. They had a video running on Loop that looked like behind the scenes of the Shakermaker vid shot in Burnage. Glad I saved my money.
All in all, great show. Noel seems like he loves it. Woulda preferred a standing gig, but it all worked out. Free parking on 4th Street after 630pm abd I didn’t get mugged...double-top.
Any other boarders at the Anthemn?

Great show and first time at the anthem. What an amazing venue but coming from a long history of 9:30 concerts it’s just weird being in a seated concert venue for shows like this (I was in first tier). People seemed to be standing closer to the stage, so I’ll have to remember that.
Back to the concert. Love HFB but didn’t feel like the crowd got into it until we had a few oasis tunes. Noel’s vocals were absolutely incredible and the support was A+.
As much as I tried to fight this feeling, I still couldn’t wait to get back to the old stuff. Having been to a bunch of Oasis shows, this did feel incredibly subdued. Just being honest even though the last few albums are great on the headphones. Great show despite that.
Didn’t mind the split originally but tonight just made me long for one last tour together. Please settle your shit Liam and NG ASAP.

From the clips which have surfaced - he suddenly seems to have a video screen! Was that missing from the first two shows?

From the clips which have surfaced - he suddenly seems to have a video screen! Was that missing from the first two shows? It was. Could this possibly be due to him playing smaller venues in Detroit and Columbus? Or maybe it was just transport issues/fees

Surprisingly my tickets were front row center! Wasn't bothered what the crowd was doing behind us so didn't notice any reactions except heard some singing pipe up during the usuals. I have a video of the mess up on DITW, thought that was funny and a good recovery.
Nice venue and nice restaurants and stuff around it. Went in the pub before and got the britpop happy hour deal

How do you get surprised with ROW A tickets? There was an obvious seating chart out there. I was close enuff, but am still jealous of not being in Row A.
I’ll give you a break if yer the same 30’something dude that sold me a great seat to the NGHFB show at the Warner a few years back and met up w/ is boarders at a bar before the gig...?
Surprised I didn’t get wreckt for my Gem/old man comment. I think it’s just the gray hair. Get some Just for Men up in there. Obviously he must be pretty well recovered from his head injury, or else a doctor wouldn’t sign off on him being in such a loud/lighted atmosphere repeatedly.
Overall, again, it sinks into me that Noel is at his best frontman skills on this tour. The way he belted out the songs/falsettos showed he is 110% giving the effort.
No one mentioned it, but a good Noel banter-dote...he said he was asked the best question ever in an interview dur No his day in DC...”do you prefer dinosaurs or cowboys?”...he said cowboys all the way.
Last question...anyone meet Noel before/after the show??
