Only my 2nd time posting on here sorry if this is in the wrong spot. Just trying to get some info for tommorows show in Philly. I have seen Noel several times now but this is the first time I was trying to meet him after his sound check, I know I've read he usually comes out and signs for fans. Anyone that had any information or is planning on doing the same was just looking for some help as to times and where to be. Anyone that can helps thanks I'm advance.

I would say the being there from 3-5 would be a safe bet. He came out after he finished soundcheck in Vegas and last tour and I snagged a pig with him.

In DC years ago, he came out to the front of the venue and met with fans before the show. He also signed autographs after the show, out back by his tour bus. Good luck and enjoy the show! Let us know if you do get to meet him.

Hi everyone, longtime lurker and first time posting. Not sure if anyone has posted any reviews of the Philly show on Tuesday, but it was excellent. My husband, who was completely unfamiliar with Noel's solo material, loved it too. Audience was into it and stood for the entire show.
Lots of amusing stage banter from Noel. Philly just won the super bowl and there were chants of E-A-G-L-E-S from the crowd, to which Noel responded: "Yeh, you won the super bowl and then went on to trash yer own fookin' town??" Then, "Fuck the Patriots (the opposing team), although I am on my way to Boston in a couple of days."
Personally, even though the background graphics are great, I could've done with brighter stage lighting and more of a focus on the musicians on the screen rather than special effects.
Best part of the evening: we left the theatre and were outside within a minute of the show ending (we had crap seats at the rear.) A large bus was parked on the street directly in front of the theatre. Who should come walking up the perpendicular alley from the rear stage door and onto the bus, but our Noel! I was standing directly in front of him, about a foot away. (He is tiny!). It was very cool to see him up close and personal! Everyone standing on the street burst into applause.

I've seen Noel's stops in Philly for all three of his High Flying Birds tours and, for me, this show was the best of the three. There was a lot of energy between the crowd and band. And Noel seemed to be enjoying himself. Outside of the music, some of my favorite moments were:
- Telling us that we can't be football world champions because we're the only country who plays the game. - In talking about Philly's celebrations, asking "Who punches a horse?" - When introducing Charlotte and mentioning her the scissors player, the crowd going into a big cheer! - The huge cheer for Gem when Noel introduced him. - Charlotte telling Noel he forgot to introduce Russel. Then, after introducing him, asking Charlotte if it was now okay for him to continue.

Thanks for posting that great clip, Spaceman! It gives a great feeling for what the show was like. True confessions: I can hardly understand a word out of his mouth (partly due to the accent, but no doubt also due to my lousy hearing, earned over many years of loud concerts.) I will have to get my husband to translate for me! Thanks also Walrus for the highlights!
