The people claim more "obscure" material or something he doesn't usually plays. He plays a song that hasn't been heard in 15 years or so (and a great version in my opinion) and the people go "no no drop it, we don't want that" That's different, it's obvious that people are getting mad because Noel sings "Liam's ones" but the fact is that there are many really good songs Noel did sung while in oasis and he doesn't even give it a try. Yea Go let it out is 15 years old but this is the kind of song you expect to see in a Liam Show, Noel could go with sad song, step out, etc...(many good bsides from sotsog sung by noel) Didn't he just said a few weeks ago he won't bother with anything post-BHN? He even went on twitter saying The Shock of the Lightning was not very good. So I think if we want to hear anything post-97 that it's not I'm Outta Time, Noel is the only option. And also he has given a try. He has played Shout It Out Loud and Idler's Dream in past concerts.. and what happens? a handful of people sing while the rest go to the toilet. You lot want him to drop WW or DLBIA but it's what 90% of the people that go to the gigs want

How is there no man who built the moon! Best song on the album and doesn’t play it live! Crushed if he doesn’t play this by radio city gig was really looking forward to that otherwise same great noel songs as always, but I’m with those who would trade dream on for anything else if your going to keep a song EOTR or another oasis classic would be nice

I like how some people are angry because they believed some setlist someone posted was actually real and legitimately expected Noel to play Hey Now.
I think that The Man Who Built The Moon is too difficult to capture on stage. Would love it if they did it. But Noel's attitude seems to be that if they can't do it in rehearsals, they tend to not do it live. This is why Oasis ended up doing a song like To Be Where There's Life on the final tour but not Bag It Up which was, in my opinion, one of the band's latter day greats.

I’m thinking TMWBTM might appear in the UK setlist with the Crouch End Choir. Maybe he just doesn’t want to fork out taking 20-30 people around the States for one song and wants to do the song properly or not at all. I want this.

Does Noel still walk out to shoot a hole into the sun? Nope. He walks out to Fort Knox now, but he played that one live yesterday, and now it's some instrumental music, apparently

Am I the only one who's still waiting for Noel to play this live?
I'm happy with the setlist but come on, he should change some of the Oasis songs he's been playing

Because obscure songs fall flat. He would get blasted for not playing DLBIA. It is his staple and will always be in his set. You can't just play a load of obscure songs and expect the gig to have any momentum. There needs to be a mix. I'd say that the set last night had a pretty good mix. Maybe a bit safe in terms of Wonderwall, Dream On etc, but that can change. DLBIA I get but he has such a wealth of material that he could mix it up without being to obscure. Why not chuck in Step Out which he does brilliantly or Stand By Me which he could do quite well I think. And then maybe one or two that don't get an airing that much, Stop Crying Your Heart Out or Where Did It All Go Wrong? The fact that he has made a point of making a small departure and saying he doesn't give a shit what people think and yet he hasn't carried that through to the live shows like say a Paul Weller. Agree in that sense but I suppose on the first gig of the tour in the US - when the main thing is getting the new songs right live (new songs which are different to what has come before in a lot ways) then he would play it safe. That encore seems brilliant, and I'm fully with you that I think one of the above (Step Out would be great) would work better than say Dream On or Wonderwall, and then perhaps a b-side or lesser known album track as well. I do think he'll mix it up a bit throughout the US tour. He played 21 songs last night. There's plenty of room for manoeuvre, let's just hope he choses to do so - because last night was the basis of a very strong set imo. I really hope TMWBTM is in the set by the time the UK tour starts.

Go Let It Out had to be stopped live because Liam's voice at the time couldn't hack it. So the version we heard yesterday was transposed a bit (notice he played it with Capo second fret), and more suited to Noel's voice. It worked imo and was great to see.

So he played TIOBI acoustically, which I don't think he's done live before at all.
Like Go Let It Out, it adds a different dynamic.

Okay sooooo had an amazing time last night and met loads of new amazing fans who are now friends! Love Oasis fans.
I had the unbelievable luck to get a front row centre ticket from a fan who couldn’t attend so I drove down at the last minute from Toronto.
I agree with some of the comments on this thread (primarily the lack of TMWBTM) but DITW was amazingly beautiful and was the new song I wanted most.
Actually I really missed The Dying of The Light! I adore that song.
Would have also loved to hear Slide Away, gets me every time. There are a billion other songs I would kill to hear Noel play from the old days but even with the lack of older Oasis material at least we got Go Let It Out!
Personal highlights for me:
- Seeing Noel sign the album for little Wyatt (very un-Noel to do that on-stage - he was in a good mood!) - Making some eye contact with Gem and getting a smile and a nod at the beginning (was SO thrilled to see him and Sharrock as always) - The entire show Noel doesn’t really look at me...I know him...if he’s wearing shades he’ll stare at you loads because he knows you can’t *quite* see him...but immediately before the last song he finalllyyy looks me dead in the eyes and I say “I love you so much!” Noel replies “You love me so much? Well this song is dedicated to you, and it is apt.” And he dedicated All You Need Is Love to me!!!!
It took all my strength not to cry right there 😂
An amazing night and while every setlist could be better it felt amazing to be part of last night. Thanks Chief, see you in Toronto! ❤️

Actually a good setlist to begin the tour with. I'm more of a 'Noelist' if you want to call it like that but of course Liams version of Go Let It Out its better. But this version fits perfectly in the set, with more keyboards in the bridge fitting with WBTM? sound. Absolutely love that Fort Knox video,I really need to see the full video, specially the 'Gotta get yourself together' bit. Would like to see a Keep On Reaching video as well. Dead In The Water sounds completely incredible. One of his truly best songs and great to come back in the encore. Hope he doesn't drop it of the setlist,it's just great. My only issue is maybe some songs that are not exactly fan favourites and not that good (Im talking about In The Heat Of The Moment). We know how Noel goes and this set will not change that much. Maybe a song or two out. But i'm feeling positive about the set. Go Let It Out should be before the encore. And maybe that Beatles cover is a bit unnecesary. But let's see how this tour goes. A perfect setlist to me would've been Fort Knox Holy Mountain Keep On Reaching Beautiful World Everybody's On The Run Riverman The Ballad Of The Mighty I If I Had A Gun The Importance Of Being Idle Go Let It Out She Taught Me How To Fly If Love Is The Law Be Careful What You Wish For Half The World Away Wonderwall AKA...What A Life!
ENCORE
Dead In The Water The Man Who Built The Moon Don't Look Back In Anger
And that's it! That a mega set to start the tour. If he change it more often would've been brilliant. Maybe he could alternate Go Let It Out with Who Feels Love because both songs fits the record but well...He's not changing the set. Let's see what does he play tonight!

I think the set list is fine. Dream On always seems like a surprisingly popular singalong so don't mind him putting that in. Go Let It Out is a pleasant surprise, it'll be interesting to see how long it stays in. Wonderwall and DLBIA will always be in there, a huge chunk of the audience will have that as their highlight of the gig, I think we have to accept that fact.

Yeah, he's like any legacy act touring a new album, there'll be a big chunk of that, then the standards, with a handful of lesser played stuff chucked in.

Yeah, he's like any legacy act touring a new album, there'll be a big chunk of that, then the standards, with a handful of lesser played stuff chucked in. He is not. He is playing 17 of 21 tunes from the 21st century. Only 3 from his heyday. 14 off his solo career. Not very often it happens from a music star in his 50s. And its great if you ask me.

Wish he'd play WFTR and Falling Down again. They'd fit in well with the new songs.

So thrilled he unearthed "Go let it out", I didn't think he'd play anything from SOTSOG ever again! Of course it doesn't have the roughness it had when Liam sang it, but we already heard Noel's take on it on the demo. I'm glad it's in the setlist, I hope he'll keep it for the European tour.
Didn't expect "Dead in the water" to be played live, also. Though now I wonder if Noel didn't say in an interview in December that he'd play it acoustically, can't remember for sure...
