Why is that dreadful? A song that hasn't been played in 15 years - and a fan favourite really. Dead In The Water, which many people praise as the best track on the new album (even though it technically isn't an album track). Two classic Oasis anthems half way through the set, and a good mix of the new songs, and just the fourth time that Noel has ever played All You Need Is Love, live. Sure there'll be a few changes, and I hope that Wonderwall and Dream On drop out, but it's a very solid set. It's no surprise that you would say otherwise, like.

Pretty standard setlist for Noel, except for the last songs. Amongst all this VIP packages, could i buy just a ticket for the encore?

I’m thinking TMWBTM might appear in the UK setlist with the Crouch End Choir. Maybe he just doesn’t want to fork out taking 20-30 people around the States for one song and wants to do the song properly or not at all.

the set list is a bit meh. he's been in the business for over 20 years, he's still keeping the same shit in his playlist. why wonderwall again? why dlbia? why bloody half the world away? little by little? c'mon! he should start to acknowledge his hardcore fans and play some obscure tracks. he has so many to choose from.

He could do Masterplan instead, I’m sure that would go down better. His back catalogue is strong enough to not have to do covers in my opinion. Mind, if it was a different cover to close the show every night then that would be interesting.

Because obscure songs fall flat. He would get blasted for not playing DLBIA. It is his staple and will always be in his set. You can't just play a load of obscure songs and expect the gig to have any momentum. There needs to be a mix. I'd say that the set last night had a pretty good mix. Maybe a bit safe in terms of Wonderwall, Dream On etc, but that can change.

In fairness, that's the 4th time in his live history that he's played AYNIL live. It's not exactly one he's done loads of before.

- I was surprised by how well the new songs played live... I liked Fort Knox, can you remember, what song was played before he walked on stage? None. Just random instrumental stuff, not by NG. They just walked out and slayed the shit out of Fort Knox.

I hope Noel filled out the royalty permission papers as soon as he walked off stage for Lennon and McCartney, in the way he claims Liam does for him.

It was the first concert in a new tour IN THE UNITED STATES... Wonderwall went down great. Probably the 3rd best crowd response of the night after DLBIA and GLIO. You’re asking the man to not play his two most successful songs. How would you feel if you had gone to a Prince concert and he didn’t play fucking Purple Rain, or if The Verve just decided to skip Bittersweet Symphony?

But no way Noel isn't ever not going to play DLBIA.

So much negativity already. Yeah, too bad. I come here to hear people's experiences from the gigs and find the usual grumble about the setlist.

Why not chuck in Step Out which he does brilliantly or Stand By Me which he could do quite well I think. And then maybe one or two that don't get an airing that much, Stop Crying Your Heart Out or Where Did It All Go Wrong? The fact that he has made a point of making a small departure and saying he doesn't give a shit what people think and yet he hasn't carried that through to the live shows like say a Paul Weller.

Gem&Chris are a great addition to NGHFB. Now they have more power on stage. I really like Gem on guitar over Tim Smith.

I wasn't aware Noël would be playing pretty much the same standard setlist like he's done his entire career, this changes everything...
Thanks.

The people claim more "obscure" material or something he doesn't usually plays. He plays a song that hasn't been heard in 15 years or so (and a great version in my opinion) and the people go "no no drop it, we don't want that"

Yea Go let it out is 15 years old but this is the kind of song you expect to see in a Liam Show, Noel could go with sad song, step out, etc...(many good bsides from sotsog sung by noel)
