Was looking at shows for the tour today. Looking to add a second to the DC show where I gitv16th row dead center on the first day of sales (just beyond the special reserved seats I assume).
Saw Columbus as a nearby show, on a weekend, abd was pleased to see GA standing tixs available. One of only a few standing gigs on this theater tour.
So I checked Philly, New Orleans, abd Nashville. Philly looks close to sell out, but the other two had lotsa seats. Also checked extra seats in DC, plenty to be had.
Not tryna be a Negative Ned, but I don’t like the theater seating confinements, and I assume a lot of the saved tixs for vip packages will get released as regular seats.
Wondered what everyone’s thought was on the tour.

I’m not sure what Noel’s plan was for America. He aimed too high with some of these venues and those VIP packages are down right silly.

If I'm shelling out for VIP tickets, the star had better come back to the buffet room himself and thank me for coming to his gig.

There are like 100 of these "VIP" tickets still available for Dallas. No way are they going to let those go unsold. 40 more are sitting on Stubhub for seats around the same area.

Is he not going to come out and sign shit beforehand now because of this VIP bullshit? That would be a big kick in the shins.

I don't understand why he is doing places like Indianapolis or Nashville. Those shows still look very empty. I'm sure he will play a few half empty shows .....bad tour management. I have tix for the ATL show, which is almost sold out.

Loads left in NYC as well and that’s coming up in a couple of weeks. He sold out his other shows here in minutes and it’s not just the VIP seats left, it’s $45-$58 reg tickets. Noel’s ego is too big to play in front of obviously empty seats......wonder if management and him are working on what to do. (Moving to smaller venues?)

How much is the standard ticket for NG going in the US? I’d very easily castrate myself to see him (sorry caro).

Noel played to half empty venue in Edmonton when he came with snow patrol and Jake bugg, don’t think it would be too much of a difference this time.

I have No idea why Noel decided to bump up his venue sizes in America. He’s 50, doesn’t have a huge fan base or hit record here. I’d be more than happy to catch him at beacon theater. Half empty venues never feel right.

Half empty venues never feel right. Are they bigger than Liam played at? You'd think they'd aim for the same size places as they would appeal to the same core audience. Nashville does seem a very strange place for him to play.

I know there's one night in L.A. that's sold out, but I would expect the other big cities to be sold out by now. He's doing two shows in Ohio and I haven't heard or seen anything.

Ironic Noel's talking about Richard while his ego when dealing with live shows matches his.

Liam played in very tiny theatres in North America, some of them only had a capacity of a couple thousand. A lot of older rock bands last year, I noticed played to half sold out arenas. Like arcade fire and kings of Leon, never understood why bands as talented as arcade couldn’t sell out, they sold less than half seats in Edmonton.

It’s always been a city I wanted to see, so I used the excuse Noel is playing to fly down and check it out.

A live band in every window. Not to mention Ryman theater is a classic venue. Wooden benches kinda weird, but part of the charm You won't regret.

Well, without a high proportion of VIP tickets The VIP stuff just sounds so stupid to me. If you bought them fair enough, have fun but he's really asking a lot from his fan base to drop that much money for no real difference in experience. A few rows closer? Personal march stand? Not enough in my eyes.

His last Nashville gig was brilliant, and packed.

Not enough in my eyes. You get here an hour before the doors open and even then there's a good chance you'll be front row. I've always had a strong dislike for VIP packages, meet and greets and the like. Fans pay enough for the tickets. And paying to shake hands and perhaps exchange what, 2 words? with someone who happens to be famous for doing whatever is absolutely ridiculous.

Not really surprised with zero promo or anything prior to his new album. Still think he would be able to play bigger(4000-6000 capacity) gigs in NY, Boston, Toronto, LA at least as Oasis were always having a good fanbase there.
