Seems that everyone thinks that this is the weakest track of the album, but I can't stop loving it. The lyrics are great, the groove is great and the live version sounds amazing. Show some love!

So, you'd like people to "Come Together" over this? I can't help but sing "here come 'ol flat top" over the intro.

I can even sing 'I still don't know what I was waiting foor' and its still a tune. Its like saying that you can sing 'Well you're dirty and sweet' in Cigarettes and Alcohol. Its still a tune.

It starts off great, love the groove and the bass, but since it doesn't go anywhere, it runs 2 minutes too long. The woman singing has now become annoying to me. Its placement also slows any momentum. From FK to KOR its just a manic album. Then you get more space-like and 80s with the next two. Then the end of the album is amazing. This is just the clunker in the middle.
Its like the Mexican for me, you have 4 great songs in TRS, WTSRTS, YKWCGB, TBOTMI and its just a clunker right in the middle.
This and the Mexican are my two least favourite album songs from his solo catalogue. In fact I think I'd take each b-side over these two other than Birthday Cake and I'd Pick You Everytime.

That's too much mate. Birthday Cake is probably one of the worst Gallagher songs ever,is just terrible. The thing with the length is that Holmes told Noel to write a shitload of verses, like Bob Dylan. I kinda miss a better chorus, the 'Wild' bit feels that its not enough. But the woman bit saves it a bit to me. Still don't know what is she singing though, can't find the lyric anywhere.

This is my FAVOURITE off the album! Dumbfounded by other people's opinions. The chorus is just fucking unbelievable - so unique, he's never written a chorus like that. Just with the melody he's singing alone it's great, but then with the added French singer's vocal line it's sublime.
And obviously the arguments that it sounds like Come Together...I mean really?? TEN albums in and you're going to start not liking Noel's songs because they sound too similar to something else!?! LMAO
Plus, it sounds more similar to I Might Be Wrong by Radiohead!! Rhythmically it's got more in common with that, it's like a slowed down version of the guitar riff in that song. But who cares!?!
It sounds bloody amazing. And it's psychedelic as fuck which I love. Have you guys not been listening to the bass playing at the end!?!? It's fucking awesome!

Really like this song since first listen, a weirder version of The Right Stuff, it chills you out after the first five uptempo songs.

I don't know if I'd call it the weakest track, but it is certainly the worst listen on the album for me. It's the only track I can't really get into at the moment.

But against most of his solo discography, this one isn't holding up for me. I appreciate the thought and method of the song, its different which is good, but it just plods for me.

It's the perfect example of Noel prioritizing the album over the individual songs, and of him only writing in the studio. As a song it can't really stand on its own imo, not by Noel's standards anyway; it does work very well within the context of the album though.

Not keen on this one, so could find myself skipping it in future.
It slows down proceedings, drops the uplifting momentum that had gathered over 5 superb songs.
Maybe the album needed a breather, a comedown, but I'm not keen on these types of songs. I could do with an album full of upbeat optimism. It's why I always skip Fade In/Out on BHN too.

My mistake mate, sorry It can be a bit repetitive, but I just love that guitar riff

That's interesting because Fade In/Out I find really energising, love hearing it to get myself in a "let's have it" mood, or if I'm going out. When it gets going it's great for that. And if I can sing along to it it really gees me up. Think it's Liam's vocal that makes that song. And Noel's scream!

The problem i have with it is - this album was sold by Noel as some giant move into new territory with a producer with an amazing array of records being played in the studio and what do we get?
An uninspiring, heavily Beatles influenced plod that goes nowhere. If it was on an Oasis album, it'd be the first thing to come into scrutiny for the reviewers who cant wait to drop a Fab Four reference in there. I can't understand why it goes overlooked on reviews for this record just because of how its being sold to us.

I love Be Careful What You Wish For. Whoever described it as Riders on the Storm meets Come Together nailed it. It has such laid back, psychedelic, and almost sexy vibes to it with some great layering going on. That bass groove carries the song and the solos are so cool and set up a great atmosphere. I would argue that this song is probably the fifth best of the bunch behind Fort Knox, Dead in the Water, The Man Who Built the Moon, and It's a Beautiful World. It's nothing innovative but it is something that acts on what the album sets out to do, and that's expanding Noel's sound and songwriting palette.
