Hey, any fans from Japan. Would you be able to put the credits on this song as to where it was recorded, who produced it, and who played on it?
I'm guessing it is one of those 'Gallagher, Stacey, Kirkbride' songs that they would use for soundtracks/ bsides / bonus tracks that have been appearing since later days of Oasis.
It does sound like they deliberetly recorded it in a fashion to keep the soundcheck in a large auditorium feel that they were criticized for not keeping with If I Had a Gun.

Apparently there's no details about it in the Japanese booklet. I haven't received my copy of the Japanese edition yet, but normally Japanese edition has own liner note with a review and all the lyrics translated in Japanese, added to the original version and mostly there's no extra details for bonus tracks. I'm gonna check if Noel said something about it in his current interview for Rockin On magazine. If I find something We don't know yet, I'll post it. |

The song isn't mentioned anywhere in the booklets. No lyrics or recording details. It's just listed on the cardboard sleeve and on the obi strip (the piece of paper wrapped on the spine of Japanese CDs).
To me it sounds like an unfinished song, little more than a demo.

It feels like a very cheap bonus track in my opinion. Considering we basically had the song in pretty much this state already.
Personally I'd be quite frustrated if I'd paid £20+ for the Japanese version for this to be the only extra.

I think it's a good version of it and I like the song.
Based on Noel's vocals in terms of how his voice sounds, I'd say it's from the sessions for HFB1 - so sometime in 2010 or 2011.
Considering this song is over 10 years old, that would make sense.

I still haven't heard this.
I was going to buy the Japanese version but paying an extra €20ish for one unfinished song is ridiculous. If it had been a fully recorded version of it then I probably would of.

I haven't heard this song yet. My cousin in Japan sent my copy of the Japanese edition to my way yesterday, so it should arrive sometime next week. Meanwhile I'm still waiting for my picture disc of the album and Holy Mountain single from official store. It was a good action that I bought the CD and LP in my local shop last Friday.

I realized after listening to it sounds like just Noel and a Guitar so that's probably why there are no additional credits

I have it as MP3 here and I'm really disappointed.
Don't get me wrong, it's nice to have this version as it seems to be a clean live or demo version of just Noel and his Guitar and that's alright.
But with this being the "only and final" studio version we'll get it sucks as I'm sure not to be the only one to like this song.
In my opinion it's the best track on the new album (yes, even better than Dead in the Water). I was waiting so many years for an official version and he sh*ts on that great track putting it out as a bonus track for only one country.
Someone definitely has to do a nice mix of it with at least some organ sounds.
I remember hearing a fan mix on YouTube based on an older soundcheck version that was pretty nice.
There were many great fan mixes back in the days of "Dig Out Your Soul". Now get your self together and do a nice arranged version of this gem. Noel on his own is too lazy to do it.

Also got the MP3 from the Japanese Version. Crazy to think that this song is out on the internet for so long and I'm also a bit disappointed as it sounds like they just put it off YouTube directly on the album. Hardly can be counted as a Demo. Real shame as the song itself is great.
