It’s not a smooth transition between TMWBTM and End Credits.
I actually like the mystique of End Credits and think it could work well as a closer but falls short because TMWBTM is such an abrupt way to lead into End Credits. It feels like there’s a track missing in between.
I do wonder if Noel had a track in there that he eventually removed. It just feels awkward.
Hell, even Dead in the Water would have done the job there!

I see what you mean and I agree.
It's such a limp ending to such a big sounding album. I think I would've preferred the instrumental to be just one whole piece placed after 'She Taught Me How To Fly' ending the first half the album. 'The Man Who Built The Moon' sounds like a penultimate track to me. Very abrupt as you said. Even a separate, bigger sounding instrumental more like 'Fort Knox' could've worked better to end on.

I was going to create a new thread for this, but I'll put it here since it's the same concern.
Listening for the umpteeth time, and there's a feeling of slight incompleteness to the album.....
Newest concern sees the transition from If Love Is the Law to The Man Who Built the Moon.
These are minor complaints, in fairness, but it takes away from the album.
The transitions aren't smooth in the latter half of the album.

My only nitpick would be get rid of the instrumentals and add another song or two. But maybe that would’ve made it worse.

Not a criticism. This one of my favorite albums in a very long time. Just a complete nitpick where I admit I’m probably wrong.

The problem is WBTM is ending on a high note, so the listener thinks someone else is going to happen. Usually, songs with lyrics for ending are terminated by lower notes.
There is clearly one song missing but not after TMWBTM to me. I would place it just before.
