I don't think the songs are that strong throughout the album (bar TMWBTM) and the first half has a more interesting sound.

Predictably, I'm the opposite

I think the first half is pretty much perfect, whereas the tunes that I'm not totally head-over-heels for (Basically just Black & White Sunshine) is on the second half. Still, If Love is the Law / The Man Who Built the Moon / End Credits / Dead in the Water is an incredible ending.

I don't want to battle from beginning to end,
