If he's writing and recording now, there's a chance he could debut a new tune or 2 at Finsbury Park. Or any of the summer gigs really, Finsbury is being filmed for the movie presumably so it would make sense.

And Finsbury Park is in June. Or do they mean Cannes 2019? From meg.r's post in the Thoughts thread: "The film sees the singer tell his story in his own words - how he went from fronting Oasis to “living on the edge, ostracised lost in the musical wilderness of boredom, booze and bitter legal battles”. It features performances from Reading, The Ritz, One Love Manchester and Glastonbury and will climax with his sell-out gig in Finsbury Park." Obviously it doesn't make sense if they're showing the film at Cannes though. Someone else suggested the Finsbury Park show would be included as a bonus disc for the film's DVD release (a la Lord Don't Slow Me Down). Either that or it's a mistake. Back on topic slightly, I was listening to AYW for the first time in a while today and Liam's songwriting really did improve from his BDI days. You Better Run I didn't like at first but its grown on me. Can't wait to hear what he comes up with for album 2!

Yeah. Yeah, I'm glad hes succeeding at least. I like Come Back To Me and Universal Gleam (Live), Greedy Souls okay sometimes but I've grown to dislike it. The main thing I want is better production with impact and less fucking acoustic guitars. I want more "it doesn't have to be that way" I've grown weary of that track so I hope not. Now my least favourite from the whole album era and I love the album still

This is still way too far away to start getting excited about. I’m guessing fall 2019 for the album to drop, as much as I want it now I think Liam needs to take a break for a bit and out of the public eye for it to be massive again.

Highly doubt it Best you could hope for will be 'Eh La', I'd imagine. We may hear a new song in the summer at the festivals etc. But I can't see LG releasing any more new music until next spring.

Anyone know if he's been recording with his band, or at least with Dan's input?

Apparently the album will be called "As Real As I Am" and the songs will be: - Speak The Truth
- Got Soul
- Your Love Saved Me
- Holding Grudges
- You Lied
- Aimed At No One But You
- I Say What I Mean
- I'm Real
- All My Parka Monkeys
- Potato's Fame?
- Debs
- Not To Blame
(yes this obviously a joke ) Extra track on japanese edition : It's Only A Dream (All Your People )

I doubt they’ll want Liam to stay out of the limelight for too long since they will want to ride off the success of As You Were and follow up fairly quickly. I’m guessing a mid/late 2019 release

I don't get it why artists wait years and years before releasing another record. They build hype and the finished record might pe crap. Beatles pulled 2 albums a year(almost) and they were all class(90%). Maybe they are truly the greatest, this being one of the reasons..

Question.
I've been thinking, Liam's voice was soaring around the time of Reading festival. Kind of wish re recorded the 2nd album then vs now. Do you think it'll actually make a notable difference on the record? Or will they just edit it to sound great anyway?
Either way, I'm really excited to hear this one because this time around he's mega confident. I'm expecting big swag.
Want them to step it up, make it bigger and grander - like the Live video version of Greedy soul instead of the album version.
I hope the stage set up matches it too. A cool set and maybe a slightly better band would be amazing haha.

Artists regularly released albums at least yearly

i expect album 2 to have one or two big ballads such as "For What Its Worth" and i dont f******g care if they sound like robbie as long as the songs are good.
i mean, "For What Its Worth" is his 2nd most successful release. Spent the most days in the official charts (more than WOG) even if it was only a download single (no prysical form). Spotify streams already more than 18.000.000 (!!!!) and still growning fast. youtube official video already with more than 9.300.000 views ( with also the lyric video with 2.800.000 views) and sooner or later its gonna overtake even wall of glass in youtube!!!!
I dont want that punk Liam album anymore and i m definitrely sure that his company dont want it too. I dont believe that even Liam want an album like that. Now Liam is a big mainstream name and a punk album could harm his sales. He had the tunes in his first album for that punk sound but we never get that (greedy soul, WOG, YBR, IGB) but it was a desicion to leave the hard sound outside and give these songs a rolling stones feeling, a softer more classic sound. I expect the same from album 2, even if i hope a tune or two to have a harder sound (Greedy soul is a monster of a song when they play it live)

Damn I dont want that punk Liam album anymore 8-10 punk songs and 2-3 slower songs like "Bold", "FWIW" or "I've all I need" would be great. I just don't want to hear rubbish like "Chinatown" and "Paper Crown" again

Of course he wasn't gonna get the album out this year--they've only just started! And he's busy in June, in't he?
2019 would still be good. Fuck leaving 3 years between records; the end product has never been worth the wait with the Gallagher brothers.
