Let’s get that punk record out. And/or bring Auerbach back into the discussion. Dan Auerbach would be really cool. My choice would be Josh Homme at least on a few tracks. Apart from that I'm pretty sure he'll work with Kurstin again as they seem to work good together. Not For Sale could be the title of the 2nd album - heard it was about to be used for an EP but seems he'll go straight to LP#2 instead of release any new music between.

any chance The Real People can still write songs as good as in the Definitely Maybe era? if that's the case, Liam should totally work with them again

But, with quality control, please. And no songs about being a daddy or in the mall. Shudders Yeah I just meant as far as like an album every year or two lol. I enjoy Weezer for what they are but I know what you mean. Rivers Cuomo just needs to stop writing about his high school experiences, he's 47 for fucks sake

I'd like to see him team up with David Holmes. "Liam, don't sing like that, it sounds like Oasis. Have you ever tried making music like Serge Gainsbourg?" Liam: Who the fuck is Serge Gainsbourg?

Might be a good thing for RKID to crack on with his second album while the iron is hot.
Bit like WTSMG following up DM after only a year and a bit...

Great music, bad lyrics. It always sounded to me like he borrowed a bit of "Who Feels Love" and went from there. Which makes it complement the rest of the album wonderfully.

I remember reading an interview from Sitek during the recording of BE where he said it was all about the artist keep the suits away blah blah. One of the BE lads (maybe Liam) talking about Sitek teaching them how to burn incense and keep evil spirits away. The suits have their place in the scheme of things--they want to see some money made, some records and tickets sold--which would have helped the band. I'd love to see somebody like Rick Rubin produce Liam--somebody to bring the best out of Liam. Didn't think about Rubin, but that would be incredible. James Ford could be a potential great producer for him. After IDHTBTW I can see it happen Rick Rubin made a total believer out of me when he produced Johnny Cash's version of "Hurt."

Nowadays not so much.

I hope it's more edgy. They played safe and went MOR for this one, which is understandable for a comeback record to tap into the mass recognition. If they stick to the same formula for the 2nd it will wear off. This time around Liam's own character offsets the lack of bites in the production, and to simply have Liam standing out there is already a refreshing and exciting experience.

Morning Glory was way more ‘MOR’ than Definitely Maybe yet three times more successful. DLBIA is one of the most MOR songs Oasis released and it’s the national anthem...

He said on twitter that he's about to record the new album next week in LA. So next year probably we'll get a new one

We know of 3 songs that were probably recorded for As You Were that might end up here... Anything's Possible, Not for Sale and Eh La.
I am gonna keep checking on the ASCAP database thingy to see if any new material is registered under his name

He also mentioned this song in 2016: "There’s a song I like called Over — acoustic, faraway voices." Maybe it was renamed.

An EP of the already recorded songs to tie us over until a new album would be great. Can't see it happening though.
