Hyping an album that came out over a month ago is what we call 'counter productive'. Here ya go! it's the discussion thread for the album just ignore the word hype if it bothers you that much. simple

Just pointing it out. Can't really point out anything that doesn't align with everybody's beliefs without getting a passive aggressive or angry response. This thread is really off topic.

Invisible Sun in place of Shockwave on the album, I can only dream.

Invisible Sun's alright actually.
Should've been on the album.
OOF that intro. The beat is top.

I’m pretty much over this album now, not listening to it in it’s entirety any more.
Invisible Sun, Why Me? Why Not. and The River (the 3 I loved instantly) are the only ones I listen to and I’m still consumed by them. Maybe Once is being reworked for it’s video release? Looking forward to that.
I feel like once again I’m left with a gaping Oasis shaped hole in my soul. Maybe the upcoming gigs will help me out.
Until then over to you Noely, release Wandering Star - go ahead and break my heart again.

The River's really grown on me, a bit of a banger tbh. Along with Invisible Sun.
Shockwave not so much.
Once and One Of Us still good.

Best Gallagher related album of the 00's in my opinion. Absolutely love it.

It's not a terrible album, just nothing that demands more than a couple of listens, for me.

It’s definitely a great album, just hasn’t got the addictive factor that I had with As You Were, which I’ve found myself gravitating back to. I think my problem will be solved by making a playlist - The Best Of....

A week a go today I welcomed my little Daughter in to the world, I'm now a dad, mental! When we got in the car for the journey home from the hospital, Now That I've Found You was the first song that came on, was a lovely moment. Congratulations, papa Rolo! Wising you, your other half and a little one a lot of happiness! Thank very much Mimmi!

One of Us is a track that kinda gave me a meh vibe at first but it's become my favorite. The last minute "Sweet Inspirations" bit is hypnotic. "Halo" is also becoming a new favorite, so catchy. It's still a solid record with great vocals but if push came to shove AYW is top dog.

It's a really good album, but like any post-Oasis album from Liam, it is missing the quality of Noel's writing.
And with Noel's albums, it is missing Liam's delivery.
Simple.
However, this is it now... the albums will be good but not as good as Oasis.

I'm not finding myself wanting to listen to the album as a whole. I'm nearly always starting at track 4 because I played the first 3 tracks to death before the album came out.
It's also sad that we could very possibly be 3-4 years away from new material. I really hate getting all the bonus tracks on day one.

As an album I don’t think As You Were has any cringe tunes, whereas Why Me? Why Not? definitely has more than a couple.
However, as a live show I think WM?WN. will blow it’s predecessor outta the water. The strongest performances from AYW last tour were Greedy Soul and occasionally Bold and Wall.
WM?WN. on tour will have those, plus live monsters such as Halo, Be Still, Gone, The River, One of Us and of course the incredible title track which I’m still in awe of. Add to that the beautiful Once and then chuck in some resurrected Oasis, the band are on fire and the vibes coming out of rehearsals, and you’ve got me wired. 🎱

Having had the album on repeat for a few weeks after release, I have been abstaining from it ahead of the UK arena tour. Just want to hear some of new tunes being played live now.

Hope ‘Why Me? Why Not.’ And ‘Gone’ are on the Setlist for the Tour. Sure they’ll sound epic played Live!

I’ve never really experienced this before but it’s taken about 6 weeks now to really digest the album. I really like it more than I initially did, I initially disliked Be Still and Halo but I don’t mind them now.
It’s a solid 8 album in my opinion now. AS YOU WERE is a 8.5-9/10
I still think meadow sucks balls and Alright Now is pretty average but the rest are really great.
I hope with the 3rd he goes in a different direction but I feel like Warner Brothers won’t since this style seems to work

Genuinely think Gone is one of the best songs any Gallagher has been involved with. I just absolutely love the whole vibe of it, such a cool tune.
