In the first chorus right in the "so easy" part or maybe the compression is just turned up to 11, either way it's missing in action đ§ That song is a fucking mess from start to finish. Very bad bad work.

* Shockwave Great upbeat album opener, wouldâve liked it heavier and minus the âheysâ but i understand why it had to go through the radio friendly filter. 8 * Now That Ive Found You Bubblegum pop đ Lovely song, good lyrics but it shouldâve been a ballad. However, after hearing it taken down live and the pulled back, exquisite version in Rolo âs cover, Iâll put my reservations on the studio version down to taste. Therefore it deserves an 8 * Halo I love the madness of what is ultimately a love song. The contrast between the crazy intro and the calm, gentle outro is extraordinary. I love everything about it apart from a couple of dodgy lyrics. 9 * Alright Now D-R-O-S-S. This is the kinda shite they play in the doctorâs waiting room. Not having it, never will. Shouldâve been dropped and replaced with Eh La just for its sentimental value if nothing else. 3 for effort. * Meadow Iâve given this one a chance, no longer Meh-dow, Iâm gradually letting it in, not skipping it any more. 7. * The River Love it. Want it heavier on the record. Live, itâs one of the best in the set. 9 * Gone The most complete song on the album, itâs got a bit of everything. Particularly love the aggressive strings and the angry/calm/frustrated love story. 9 * Invisible Sun THE HUNT. Intro prowling towards me, skulking, lying in wait ready to pounce when the vocals hit me with the âyeahsâ of glory when Iâm captured and pulled in to the darkness 9.5 (this is how I like to articulate my reviews, lack of time unfortunately, you can tell this is the first one I wrote!) These need more listens before I can review: Misunderstood Glimmer These to follow, when Iâve more time : Once One of Us Why Me? Why Not. (This will be a 10 - obsessed) Be Still

SOnny she cant hear you anymore fucking loads of fucking lolz and all that to the people saying Alright Now sounds american because of its Broadway reference Come on man, a working class hero from Burnage singing about Broadway is as authentic as a nun singing gangster rap. I think he meant to sing "Boardwalk", but being the limited songwriter he is, he misread and sung Broadway instead. We all know Liam is just a frontman, he'll never be a great reader. People help him read and i'm fine with that. As long as it's read good.

Great album, sometimes I have the feeling of listening to Beady Eye in 2019 with an excellent production. Liam has made a great leap in quality. Gone together with Meadow are my favorites.

Does anyone know what the bonus tracks are on the Japanese version?

It's funny. I find that my least favorite tracks are the ones Greg Kurstin was involved with but I love the Andrew Wyatt and Simon Aldred songs. I'm very thankful for Kurstin for As You Were but I feel Andrew Wyatt have an interesting chemistry and Simon Aldred is delivering sublime melodies.

Kinda your fault, you can't possibly accidentally read that whole thing. Reviews are totally fine, the album is free on many platforms, if you haven't heard it it's your fault. I could get it if this was pre release, but come on man.

Does anyone know what the bonus tracks are on the Japanese version? No bonus tracks this time. Just 14 songs, exactly same as a deluxe CD. My cooy of a Japanese edition is on my way.

* Alright Now D-R-O-S-S. This is the kinda shite they play in the doctorâs waiting room. Not having it, never will. Shouldâve been dropped and replaced with Eh La just for its sentimental value if nothing else. 3 for effort. Eh La is the worst song written by anyone ever. The crown was previously on Two Of a Kind. Alright Now is a pop gem, a good mix of 70s George and John with a modern sound. On a side note, people, dont push this album a bit on Flac and good speakers, especially the first half, it's gonna bleed and make your window explode thanx to its uber-compression. The only one who does not suffer is the one produced by Aldred, Why Me? Why Not. What a monster track. After that, it's ups and downs on the compression. Gotta love records made for Beats headphones

My review:
SHOCKWAVE: In a word, awesome...Ive always liked it upon the first listen, it was immediate and I've continued to like it. I think its way better than Wall of Glass and even though most don't seem to like it that much, in my opinion it was the perfect first single choice. 8.5/10
ONE OF US: This straight after shockwave makes you realise wow this is going to be a great album. Lyrically it's very beautiful and the video was amazing and it was great how they timed it to the 10 year anniversary for the Oasis breakup. This makes you realise how much Liam misses Noel and I hate Noel for just being a fucking prick of a brother, forget getting the band back together he's holding onto a grudge and he needs to get the fuck over it. Anyway, fantastic song and I LOVE the strings. 8/10
ONCE: Absolute masterpiece. It's the best song on the album and it's one of the best songs either Gallagher has come out with post-oasis. I rate it so high, I'd say its even one of the best songs Liam has ever sung on. Initially, I wasn't too keen on the instrumental but its grown on me. 10/10
NOW THAT I FOUND YOU: It's good, catchy chorus and has a great summer feel to it. 8.5/10
HALO: Ive never been a fan of piano driven music so naturally I'm not that keen on this one. I don't hate it but its one of the weaker tracks for me. 7/10
WHY ME? WHY NOT. HOLY CRAP! I love this song! It's got Liam written all over it and the chorus is so addictive. Well constructed, I love the use of the strings again and sits perfectly after Halo and again...that chorus, amazing. 9/10
BE STILL: Another one of the weaker songs in my opinion. Its okay but nothing amazing, it's the 'I Get By' of the album. 6/10
ARIGHT NOW: The third weak song, can't say im a huge fan. But Liam's vocals are great. 6/10
MEADOW: This has Beatles written all over it. John Lennon could have sung this song on the White Album. I wasn't keen on it upon hearing it the first few times but its grown on me. 6/10
THE RIVER: I'm glad this was next because it picked up the pace and to be honest its a good song, it's the weakest single but its still very good. I love the instrumental and the message it's sending out. 7.5/10
GONE: One of my favourites and the perfect closer. Its fucking epic and the strings wow YEAHHHHHH YEAHHHHH its awesome. 9/10
INVISIBLE SUN: WHY THE HECK WASN'T THIS ON THE ALBUM? Heavily influenced by Ian Brown and its the first groovy song on the album. 7.5/10
MISUNDERSTOOD Okay, again, WHY THE HECK WASN'T THIS ON THE ALBUM? Seriously, you choose 'Be Still' and 'Alright Now' over these two songs...we're is the logic in this my god. Beautiful song 8/10
GLIMMER: Not for me mate. But it'll appeal to some people for sure. 5/10
Overall, I strongly believe its not as good as 'As You Were' that album may not have stronger singles but as a whole it's a lot better, in my opinion. Why Me? Why Not. is great, it's just not 'as good' as I was expecting. But 'As You Were' is probably my favourite album ever so it was a hard thing to beat.
Why Me? Why Not. 8/10

Gone: [...] I think the song itself, bare bones, lacks a hook and just is not anything amazing. It is polished up, very, very well, and I cannot discount that at all, it adds to the song big time. But I wanted more. Agreed!
