He already did it with AYW. Liams never been considered 'untalented'. Noel himself admitted he would be nowhere without Liam, and Liam would be nowhere without him. AYW was an OK record. People didn't think Liam was untalented exactly, just not as talented as Noel. AYW went platinum and was in top albums of the year lists. It did more than ok. Noel is regarded as a more talented writer, sure, but Liam is recognised as a more talented vocalist.

I think that sounds ridiculous. ok then observe the posts of these relatively new users that are around the same post count (currently around 160-180). Then make up your own mind. We get a little wave of new users every cycle. Some stay, some don't. It does not make logical sense to promote an album on a fansite that already self-promotes all of the material of the artist by nature of existing.

Holy shit, he's right I am a robot. My life's a lie. Not saying there are bots on here. Just goons being paid to keep things all nice. Or it could be people just discovering Liams music and joining the forum to discuss it.

I was also speaking of the records quality not chart performance.

All you paid promo accounts with similar post counts are laughable. I really hope Sony have better use for the references than to send people onto live4ever and say they like the middle 8 in Alright Now

To all the Shakespeares out there, we get it. You hate all the lyrics Liam writes. Trampoline, plasticine, yoga, etc. WE. GET. IT. Now let's move on. Thanks I will say over the years it has surprised me how much lyrics mean to people. Yes certain songs they will mean more, but I find a lot of posters here seem to depend on lyrics so much, that the moment one isn't their cup of tea the song gets dismissed. The demand for a Shakespearean sililoquy also boggles my mind. Not every song needs brilliant and deep lyrics. Everytime I see "The song was fine but the lyrics were shit so its a nothing track for me" or "That line was so cringey I can never listen to that song again" I just kinda feel bad for that person. If it takes so much to be able to enjoy a song, that kinda sucks. Another thing when it comes to Liam vs. Noel with lyrics. Well Noel has written some brilliant ones over his career while Liam, not as much, a lot of times its been a struggle. So its easy to be critical of someone who has had a tough time with that craft. But its to the point where the expectation or even Liam stereotype if you want to call it that, kicks in. The second Liam has a lyric that rhymes its like "here we go again, noise and toys!" Whereas with Noel, because he has proven himself, when he does write some crappy lyrics, its like "oh whatever he's written brilliant things he can write something crappy once in a while." While for others i just believe the content doesn't matter, its the brother. Whatever Noel writes is automatically brilliant and whatever Liam writes is just another nursery rhyme, but if you took the exact lyrics but switched brothers, the opinion would stay the same because of who wrote it. This is where I find Liam really gets an unfair shake on these boards. And to the lyric police, lighten up and enjoy life! Just Kidding. Well only sort of..

Can somebody be banned for just having a really bad opinion? God, cosmic pop over bad ass rock n roll. Sorry man, but Liam's album is all but bad ass Rock'n'roll 😂 It's cosmic pop without the "cosmic" 😉

Plus whatever genre meadow falls under. The album has an unwarranted reputation as pop. Some rock, some pop, some weird psychedelic indie pop rock. I think it's pretty bad ass.

I don't really think it's about the lyrics being good as such, I think it's because we as Oasis fans are used to, and love, songs that you can tell along to and that's what's missing. Supersonic for instance has crap lyrics when read out loud but you'd get a sold out Wembley to sing it from start to end. Besides this, lots of the albums lyrics are generic and sound either like someone pretending to be English or the exact opposite "Regent park" "Broadway", for me those lines and lots of other parts of the lyrics sound nothing like anything Liam would actually say which makes it hard for me to relate to.

Solid record, but really not digging Now That I've Found you. It sounds like a Rooney song, if I want a poppy California radio sunshine track, I'll go back to Rooney or Phantom Planet, but this style doesn't suit Liam. Too pre-mature, too teeny. Don't like it.

Sometimes they do work, I just feel there are specific parts of this album where the lyrics really let it down. The melodies are good, if quite familiar, so there's a fair bit borrowed. There's not much rock'n'roll on there at all. I do like the album and will continue listen to it I just expected better. I feel the same overall tbh. When we heard the preview of 'Shockwave' Liam was playing on a boombox, I thought we would be getting a more raw and BRMC style r'n'r album. Turns out most of the album is the most light and pop sounding Liam's ever been. I'm still enjoying it for sure, and only 1 or 2 tracks im not keen on. Liam doesn't do "rock" very well. He can sing it but can't write it.

Have you heard Stay Young? ☺ haha, sure. But Stay Young is much more of a rocker and more edgy with its multiple guitar layers etc. For me, the whole arrangement of the song is cringeworthy. These ‘woohooos / uuuhhhhhhs’ and overly pop production, doesn‘t fit Liam‘s solo career so far. A nicely crafted pop ballad as For What it‘s yworth works better, it doesn‘t have all that pastiche over it that Now That I Found You has.
