10 years after Oasis split and its actually a great time to be a fan with both brothers putting out quality music at a steady pace. Liam’s album has some slappers Well, at least Liam is putting out great music....

Alright Now is the most Musically gifted song on the album. It sounds like it was left on a shelf back in the 60s and early 70s by one of the greats. I know its 2 each their own but its blowing my mind seeing how many people on here dont like it. It's my 2nd favorite on the album and close 2 the best. Its timeless and wonderful I can see it being a classic in 15 years time.

One of the best things he's ever done imo

Meadow: "It's a long long long lonely life sometimes you gotta hold your head up high If you want to break the change from your past life my dear don't you worry no more"
Lazy corny lyrics. And its the main chorus.
As much as I love Liam, I expect much better than this.

It was sort of a moment of realization that he was rhyming life with life. And yet, it doesn't actually bother me like it normally would. Somehow it works in the rhythm of the song.
No doubt Fantano will pick that apart ...

To all the Shakespeares out there, we get it. You hate all the lyrics Liam writes. Trampoline, plasticine, yoga, etc.
WE. GET. IT.
Now let's move on.
Thanks

The "Everything Liam writes is generic", shtick is getting old. Meadow is a neat little tune and a thoroughly enjoy it, my favorite on the album.

Fantano is starting to just piss me off. Haven't heard any of his brilliant songs. When he makes a platinum selling, critically acclaimed record let me know.

Look at 'Off At The Next Exit' for example. Pretty simple and basic lyrics, but one of Beady Eye's best songs. It even rhymes 'hear' with 'here'.

I still think, "Like Venus wears the morning sun." might be the best lyrics to come out of Beady Eye - LG and NGHFB.

The melodies are good, if quite familiar, so there's a fair bit borrowed. There's not much rock'n'roll on there at all. I do like the album and will continue listen to it I just expected better.

The river, WMWN, shockwave, and halo is enough rock for one record. That's where musical variety comes into play.

I see the professional music critics of this forum have come out to play. Oh so it's ok to bash Noel's music but you can't say anything critical of Liam 🙄

When we heard the preview of 'Shockwave' Liam was playing on a boombox, I thought we would be getting a more raw and BRMC style r'n'r album. Turns out most of the album is the most light and pop sounding Liam's ever been. I'm still enjoying it for sure, and only 1 or 2 tracks im not keen on.
