I really forced myself to like Open the Door without success when the album came out.
Then I see Noel live and quite like the live version.
Now I listen daily the CD in my car (damn the album is a lot better on cd) and I love it.
Tastes are strange. 🤷🏻

Tastes are strange. 🤷🏻 I can think of several albums I’ve grown into after seeing them live, it definitely has an effect. CS was weird for that because I saw the tour the day the record was released - obviously he’d put out singles so I knew a good chunk of it already, but not all.

"Flying on the Ground" and "We're on Our Way Now" in place of "Open a Door..." improves the record massively.
The former should've been the lead single. It's the clear stand-out from Noel's post-cosmic era, for me.

After months , well since it came out, of thinking I hate it and its the worst thing he has ever released… i saw it on vinyl on offer with the little 7” and bought it and listened to it in full tonight.
Its only There She Blows and Love Is A Rich Man I don’t like, rest of it I do really like.

I keep coming back to the album. It's by far the one I listened to the most among his solo work. Funny thing is I don't even think it's his best album...but there's something addictive and comforting in it

Wheelchair tickets for Poole showed up as sold out less than a minute after going on sale and the entire thing supposedly sold out at 9:03, actual insanity

Not his best for me, but a warm listen indeed and I keep coming back to it for that specific reason.

Back when you had to type out all your card details with no saves or Google autocomplete. Top 1% of speed typers in the Oasis fandom me. ⌨️

For Finsbury park, we were 3 ready to go with DSL connexions but with crappy computers And there was no queue systems so if you crashed, it was over for you. But then again there were harder times. When you had to QUEUE outside the venue. That was insane.

Well, we're still waiting for part 3 & 4 they never released the whole thing even though its paid for? It were only Part 1 and 2 when it made available to be purchased in first place and that’s I and others paid for. We expected and are still waiting for Part 3&4 to be purchased.

It's Noel's best solo album. I listened to it again last night and it just flows very nicely and the only song I'm not keen on is Love Is a Rich Man. Flying on the Ground would have been a much better choice.
Trying to Find a World That's Been and Gone is one the most most beautiful songs he's ever written and the lyrics hit me hard. Emotionally it must have been a very difficult time for Noel while writing and recording this album for obvious reasons.

Hard to argue with the triple run of tracks 1-3 on CS though. I’d probably recommend this record to anyone looking to get into Noel’s stuff from nothing (or basic Oasis knowledge).

You can join to watch it here noelgallagher.os.fan/"I consent to Noel Gallagher sending me marketing communications by email." Man, the guy must be pretty busy sending all those emails himself
