Not at all. As their solo albums show, they want very different things musically. The only common goal would be making money, and they don't seem to be short of it at the moment.

No chance at the minute, it’s dead in the water.

Peggy dies. Funeral. Life's too short. Apologies. Hugs. Press Conference. World Tour. Millions. Disappointing LP. Split again.

Peggy dies. Funeral. Life's too short. Apologies. Hugs. Press Conference. World Tour. Millions. Disappointing LP. Split again. You know, I find it deeply unnerving how people constantly speculate about that poor woman's death. She seems to be in great health and may she live happily for another few decades. Maybe it's because she's about the same age as my parents, whom I certainly don't want to see as dead people walking, just because they are in their mid seventies.

I didn't read it as a 'Death sweepstakes' or speculation type thing myself but as a parody of how The Stone Roses began their own reunion by meeting at the funeral of Mani's mother. The rest of that prediction bar the as-yet-unreleased "comeback" LP (although we have had singles) fits The Roses as well.

Can't see it, but then again I said that about the Roses. Thing is, if they did get back together if would be with Sharrock, Gem and somebody else on bass, probably Russel. Which would be shit. So I hope they don't. The end.

If The Stone Roses, Guns N Roses and Van Halen can all reunite, then Oasis definitely can. Easily.

If The Stone Roses, Guns N Roses* and Van Halen can all reunite, then Oasis definitely can. Easily. They can but like Morrissey/Marr with The Smiths it will come down to if they want to do so. The latter two turned down $5m to headline Coachella ( Billboard Magazine March 2006 ) and $75m in 2007 to tour together as The Smiths without Joyce or Rourke ( Rolling Stone Aug 2007 ) The Smiths are a good comparison to me because firstly if money is not an issue to either brother in terms of being skint then past differences may be too great for one or both to reconcile. Secondly if they did go ahead with a money spinning tour, which I believe it would be without an album, then any promoter is only going to need the Gallagher brothers plus whatever musicians need hiring for a tour under the 'Oasis' name. This would probably appeal financially to Liam and Noel as the touring band will be salaried in that instance, giving them a higher earning from the gross take. * No Izzy Stradlin= not a full reunion for me

I used to think so. But usually time heals wounds, in this case it seems to be deepening them. I don't think so. The mutual dislike of each of each other is too personal and real at this point.

100% yes.
One day there'll be an obscene amount of cash laid down that it'll be impossible to refuse. When and where that'll be, fuck knows. But it will 100% happen.

100%. One of these days Noel will 'rediscover' his desire to play rock 'n' roll in big fucking stadiums.
