I disagree. I almost feel guilty about liking it so much, given how much I've been banging on about wanting Noel to do something different, but fuck it, there's no way you can improve that performance. And it's such a strong composition, I would say it's the best acoustic "E minor" ballad since Talk Tonight. The Dying of the Light has an amazing arrangement, but Dead in the Water is the better tune. It's everything If I Had a Gun should have been.

The Man Who Built The Moon pisses all over CY (maybe except BOTMI). Definitely one of the best tracks Noel written in the past decade.

But talk Tonight is a studio recording. It has two guitars  I love it the way it is, dont get me wrong, it has that warm radio / soundcheck sound. I get why he wanted to include it, you stop breathing and just listen to the tune. But he could get something else out of this song. Definitely, a bigger piano, subtle strings...etc |
