It’s great that it’s grown on you! The furore this thread will cause on this forum however almost makes it not worth expressing such sentiments! LOL

It's grown on me, so where I previously thought it was total shit I now simply regard it as being average and fairly annoying.

I'm still not getting anywhere with it; it's just din and I can't even hear Noel warbling in there. Must be something to do with Evolution. I checked my hearing so I'm not going deaf. Maybe it'll sound better when I get the CD and crank it up to Eleven.

For me a song never grows, it’s either instant or never gets anywhere. Holy mountain bugs me as much now as it did the first time I heard it. Still looking forward to who built the moon though. Enjoying it’s a beautiful world.

That’s not happened for me. It started off awful to my ears and got as far as bearable. I’d say I’ve listened to it the last time intentionally. But the rest of the tracks we’ve had make me look forward to the album

It's grown on me a bit, as well.
I still have issues with it, and it's not to the level I'd expect from a Noel lead single, but I think it's perfectly fine and it hasn't dented my excitement for the album at all.

I like the instrumental with the wooh's alot. Only thing I don't care for is Noel's vocals/lyrics.

I like the Jools Holland version for some reason. Studio version is not for me though

Didn't like it at first listen. Can't say that it growed on me. I guess I was expecting something different to a fun tune. But well,Noel and good choice singles can't be in the same sentence. It makes sense when you hear Fort Knox and then HM comes,I guess its part of the journey that this album will be. Tbh,I was hyped as fuck when the trailer came out and then HM kinda ruined it for me. Last week my hopes went right up with the clips of the songs. And today went even higher with BCWYWF. So I'm mental for it

I initially thought that at least Noel has looked a bit further afield for er 'inspiration' when I heard that Plastic Bertrand song, then realized that it's on the soundtrack to Wolf of Wall Street which Noel has mentioned several times as his favourite movie. Lazy bastard haha.

Loved it at first listen, love it now. The first set of verses are poorly mixed, but like I said - once the whistle comes in, it's just pure joy.

Its grown on me just like Bring the Light did. Initially disliked both songs, hearing Bring the light at gigs made me like it more.
Seeing Holy Mountain on Jools Holland again made me like it a bit more. Just find it a weird first release just like i did BTL, the other 2 songs on Jools Holland i heard i really like, just feel Holy Mountains quite a weak tune.

Holy Mountain is a grow-er, not a show-er so I greatly relate to it.
