Since these two tracks have been divided a lot of people I guess its a good question for a poll. I must say that STMHTF its a live version so I guess thats a bit unfair. I don't really get into Holy Mountain but at least it has a bit more than 2 fucking verses. STMHTF had so much potential but it ended fucked up. I really hope that the album version sounds better.

Kind of hard to say, seeing as one of these isn't out yet.

Bit full-on haha, yeah Based purely on the live versions, I'd give Fly the edge, but I don't really think judging live versions means much. I never thought Slide Away particularly landed live, but Fade In/Out sounded massive. Does that mean anything about the respective quality of the songs? Not really. Not to mention the fact that one of these songs has a studio version we can hear whereas the other doesn't. Beautiful World vs STMHTF makes a little sense, this one seems a bit silly to me.

Well,if you hear Holy Mountain live and then the studio version, they are practically equal. Maybe the vocals are a bit different, but you got an idea about how the song is going to sound. The same happens with Beautiful World. If you hear the sneak peek in the trailer and the live version you can tell that there's nothing different. In Holy Mountain I could evensay that it sounds worst in the record because of the production. So fucking inflated that you can't tell where the guitars went.

Can't compare as one is a live version, like you already said in your post, but Holy Mountain has a bit more going on, it seems.
Can't tell though. I mean, for all I know STMHTF might be one of my favourites on the album.

I didn`t like Holy Mountain that much at 1st listen, but it has grown on me. Doesn`t compare to She Taught Me How To Fly though.

I like both, but there's more to Holy Mountain so HM gets my vote. Such an under-appreciated CHOON on here.

For me that's a battle between the worst song on the album vs. the best.

Fort Knox used to be my favourite but shortly after the album was released I really started digging STMHTF. Some nice New Order vibes in that song. Holy Mountain isn't that bad but I'm not a fan of Noel trying to sound like The Vaccines.
