With the domestic season all but finished, our eyes now turn to Euro 2004. Whos everyones tip for the tourney?
Personaly I cant see past France, they're gonna be eager to make up for the mess they made of the last World Cup, and with Henry, Pirez and Viera on fire they're gonna sweep all before them.

France probably has the most complete lineup but they might do nothing again. Hmmm England is too unpredictable so i'll go with Germany or Netherlands.

yeh gerrard is the best midfielder in the world at the moment, i dont care what anyone says. ppl think zidane is amazing but if he played in the premiership and we saw him play every week i doubt we'd think he was as good. Euro 2004 is gonna be the tournement gerrard makes it big on the world stage (even if it just for europe, lol).
Ill go for an England win

Theres no way a team that contains David James will ever win a major international trophy. He'll throw in at least a couple during the tournament.

Theres no way a team that contains David James will ever win a major international trophy. He'll throw in at least a couple during the tournament. lol yeah he is a worry. Can be great, but too many errors. I havent seen Liverpool play for a few weeks, but i've heard Gerrard is at the top of his game, and that Owen is hitting some form too. Which is great for England. They are key players for us. Gerrard was sorely missed at the world cup. He has the potential to have a major impact this summer Better than Zidane? hmm i dunno! Zidane is awesome Although the thing that bugs me about Zidane is how the TV stations will show all his little flicks and showboating in slow motion, several times... but what they dont show is that he does most of that shit in the middle of his own half under little pressure.... Try doing it in a premiership match at 100 miles an hour and we'll see how good he is... Btw - does anyone else hate foreign broadcasts of football matches? those annoying directors have no idea how to show football. If i had my way, every single match ever broadcast would be by SKY Sports.... England can win it but we'd need some luck. Shame Ferdinand is out. Hopefully the likes of Gerrard and Lampard can turn their club form into international form. like i said, havent seen so much of gerrard but i've seen plenty of Lampard - he has been excellent this season

I guess you're not a big fan of that big bald spot zz has. Someone tell that guy to get a rug or visit the hairclub for men.
hmmm i get french, italian and some spanish football around here. Don't really watch so i wouldn't know. All i see is a lot of toilet paper on the field though...
isn't the only knock on gerrard that he does really well only when owen is playing well? but nonetheless that was a great pass he made to owen on saturday. btw does anyone else hate that camera angle they use for arsenal games?

if youd of watched the premiership highlights the last two weeks youd of seen mate. He is fucking awesome, he is everywhere. He's got the lot im telling you, he can pass, shoot, tackle, head all brilliantly and above all else he never stops running, he plays with passion.

gerrard IS the business
owen may be off form but he does turn it on for england
beckham? i hope hell pick up cos w/o a doubt he is one of the best players in the world
calamity......nuff said-but then seaman was prone to fluffs too
so what about left m/field? scholes? not lampard-cole? out of position, too risky-who then?

i think he'll play a diamond with gerrard on the left of it but still quite centarl and have attacking full backs...

Seemingly Erikson is thinking about playing Gerrard out on the left, which would be a total waste of his talent. The guy is in a different league from that sqeaky voiced twit Beckham. He should be the main man in midfield and he should also be made the skipper.
But then again, whoever plays out left will be out of position as England have no other naturaly left sided midfielder. Thats gonna be your weak point, left midfield and left back. Cole is a great attacking fullback but he gets caught out of position when it comes to defending to often.

i think he'll play a diamond with gerrard on the left of it but still quite centarl and have attacking full backs... strachan was all for this durin the eufa cup final he reckoned the full back would give the width seemed to me it made some sense but the other guys still felt it would leave us unbalanced

i think the diamond is the only formation that suits our current midfielders. Unless they played 3-5-2 but it seems most English players are too stupid to understand that system... Who's going to play the holding role for england? if its Lampard or Gerard then you lose their attacking qualities. But if you play Butt there, you have to drop one of the other guys i'd go with- Robinson (but it will be James ) G. Neville, Campbell, Terry, Cole Beckham, Scholes, Lampard, Gerrard (diamond) Owen, Rooney

Zidane and Henry look pretty good playing together after the game today - zidane had some nice crosses in but he couldn't finish.
DS has a nice lineup, but he forgot to put everyone's fave striker in - Heskey!
woooo Heskey!!!

2000 English football hooligans have been banned from going to Portugal. I guess some members of our local English population must have had to cancel their travel plans. You know who you guys are

Does anyone else hate watching Spain and Portugal play? All the diving really slows everything down and makes it a bore. I bet it takes more to knock a little girl down...
