Explanations:-
• Liam was suffering Hashimoto’s • It was starting to become apparent Noel was on his way out regardless • Noel was enduring a long-suffered sense of creative claustrophobia • They’d become everything they’d set out to not become • This bullet point has no relevance. I’m watching Rolo’s FWIW. It’s class.
All.

No, because Noel wanted to go solo anyway. But the band would've endeded on a higher point and they would've played The Turning and Bag It Up.

I was thinking this the other day. Liam's voice was even worse during the DBTT era but in general it seemed like a happy tour, possibly their most successful ever. The problem with the DOYS era was the debacle over Liam's wedding and the shit songs that ended up going on the record due to Noel's stubbornness. I don't think things ever recovered from there, getting worse and worse, and I don't really blame Noel for not seeing a future for the band with Liam's voice totally knackered and the atmosphere toxic. The band was done. Perhaps if Liam's voice had been better, he'd have been less frustrated and angry at gigs, and Noel might have decided to stick around. As a fan it's just a massive shame Liam's problem wasn't diagnosed earlier and sorted out so we'd have more great gigs to watch back.

Liam voice was better on DOYS tour than on DBTT tour, but that wasn't the point, the whole DOYS era was unhappy times for Noel: Liam quit the recordings to merry, Noel didn't care about the album, Noel locked himself in hotel rooms on tours, let off steam on his blog, wanted the 5 years break,... he wanted to quit Oasis even before that final fight in Paris.

Funny thing is i absolutely LOVE some of the gigs from that tour - The quality of performances on Standing on the Edge of the Noise, Wembley 2008, the insane crowd/ band energy of Argentina and the rowdiness of the Roundhouse show. Some of my all-time favorite gigs.

Some of my all-time favorite gigs. The only gig I want to see footage is the one in Caracas, someone threw a Man United flag to the stage. But only a press article mentionated it at the time 😑
