Can't believe people are actually bothered by the scissors. If the song was good it would be funny. With it being such a forgettable number it is purely pretentious.

It’s no wonder Sara is said to be the one trying to distance Noel from Oasis. All his fucking songs are about her now. Change the theme. I can agree with this. While Noel has copped it for his lyrics all his career, they at least used to be universal and something everyone could relate to in some way. And that is something Noel used to talk about. Now for the most part they are about Sara, which doesn't really offer much to the rest of us. I suppose that happens with being a middle aged millionaire. I like the music at least. It's a long time since he wrote something with a positive message for all of us. He seems to think euphoria now means telling everyone how great his girlfriend is.

Just had another listen to it and it remains catchy, I do like The Cure sounding guitars and Chris Sharrock is a seriously good drummer but it just doesn't stick with me. Like the songs on the radio you like when they come on but never really have the urge to play.

That walala thing actually reminded me of this:
Less tiresome than Noel's voice on this song TBH

Liked the song... Reminded me of this underrated song, from an underrated album by the Arctics.. scissor references are incidental

I like this track and I would if it were the fucking Pope writing it. I'm not a fan of four Oasis albums, one of which Noel Gallagher wrote entirely by himself. Accept that other people are going to have different opinions about music. You don't like the new songs? Fine. I sat through Oasis Mk II in dismay, but you didn't see me telling people on the forum that they're making excuses for the band. Now it's my turn to enjoy the new stuff.
As for the scissors: if you think someone playing scissors on a song is going to put me off of anything, you should see some of the stuff I have in my record collection. On the contrary, I think it's fucking cool. And you obviously didn't address my point on your reply.
Spot on pal. So far the 3 songs released pisses all over the Oasis Mk2 era. The sooner people realise it, the better!Nothing wrong with which way anyone feels as it is opinion, but remember it has to go both ways. If you want others to be accepting that you feel HM > Supersonic or that between BHN and HM, nothing came out to your liking, then you need to also accept that a lot of people aren't liking what is coming out right now.

Probably my favourite new song released this year. I'm a huge New Order/The Cure fan so I adore the guitars, the melody is wicked but classic Noel while still sounding fresh.
I want the studio version of this like yesterday

I?m sorry guys, everyone's entitled to their opinion, to each their own and all that stuff... I've been in this place for almost 14 years and I've read very few things more hilarious than someone saying Holy Mountain is better than Supersonic.

Scissor lady has best job ever. She actually got paid money for that. Unbelievable. In 97 there was a guy that was paid just to open the door for the band while they were entering the stage from a phone box. just saying. On the whole BHN tour. Oasis paid two fake musicians, one during the whole DM tour and the other up until BHN. And from 2005 to 2009, Oasis even had a singer who could not sing anymore. So who cares about a scissor lady ? At least Noel is giving people a job.

OK I was all onboard with the new sound, took the time to get used to Holy Mountain, I liked Fort Knox and I'm waiting for the studio version of She Taught Me How To Fly to judge it. But fucking scissors?! What the actual fuck Noel? Scissors... come the fuck on, that's just ridiculous! 2017 Noel needs to have a chat with 2002 Noel who was slamming the use of a Hoover. The hoover looks a lot less stupid than those bloody child scissors... Scissors... Call me stupid but I have a feeling that the whole scissors thing was never meant to be taken seriously...it's just a laugh init. Some people take these things way too seriously - I bet they're incredibly fun at parties..... It's just surreal British humour, nothing more nothing less.

The fact he's referring to a woman whose done no harm as a 'bint' in this day and age makes me relieved that this Nigel Farage supporting dribbler doesn't like the music. Noel's new music is great, but the best thing he's done so far? Culled all these absolute tossers from the fanbase - for that reason alone he's a genius.

I really don't get the arguments either way for this or any of the new songs.
There not horrific but they are not great either. Anyone rating them an 8/10+ has low standards given how good Noel is/could be.
All the new songs are a solid 5/10.

It's getting to be really annoying.

Not everyone who dislikes Noel's new material is a tosser, but every tosser like this hates Noel's new material.

Not everyone who dislikes Noel's new material is a tosser, but every tosser hates Noel's new material. That's quite judgemental. I admit the word 'bint' is out of order but people should be entitled to dislike basically a cover of She Bangs without massive character judgements.

It's getting to be really annoying. Considering that the single did so poorly on the chart and that is failing to sell tickets is a sign that is more than just parka monkeys that aren't into the new songs. Those who are buying tickets for the shows - I would imagine by and large - won't be going to see Holy Mountain or She Taught me How to Fly. They are substandard for anyone, let alone someone with a back catalogue as good as Noel.
