Heatley is allstar pick Canada - Sweden 5 - 3 Canada on top of the Ice Hockey world as they should be, earlier today USA secured the bronze by defeating Slovakia 4-0 (penalty shootout) ! The IIHF announced the 2004 tournament award winners directly after Canada defeated Sweden 5-3 to claim the gold medal at the IIHF World Championships in Prague. The tournament's MVP was Dany Heatley of Canada. The Directorate Award winners were Heatley as Best Forward, Dick Tarnstrom of Sweden as Best Defenseman, and Ty Conklin of the USA as Best Goalie. The media all-star team consists of goalie Henrik Lundqvist (Sweden), defensemen Tarnstrom and Zdeno Chara (Slovakia), and forwards Heatley, Jaromir Jagr (Czech Republic), and Ville Peltonen (Finland).

ahhh, the us blew it. again. but you gotta admit, ty conklin was unbelievable. (by the way, mike dunham (yes, i'm a ranger fan), being a ranger, lost the game vs. sweden).

Can't blame him for the first one though, it's been the weakness of so many hastily put together NHL-College teams:58 mins of world class hockey and 2 mins of chaos which will cost you the title at this level
