For the first time I find myself not sharing new Noel songs with friends ... This new direction is embarassing..its like everything I hate about music in 2017 created by my songwriting hero.. Noel was always my release from the shitty music that floods my radio here in the US .. and it seems that is gone ... Liams album was true to form and enjoyable ... but Noel man come back ..

You've just said the same thing in the main WBTM topic. There's no need to seek attention with your own thread. I envy you. I cant enjoy these 2 tracks. I have tried, believe me. The first time in 20 years that I'm not going to buy an album from Noel /oasis. same hear .. I'm usually force feeding new Noel music to my friends .. I'm embarrassed to let them listen to this stuff.. sad |

I shared Fort Knox on my Facebook. I thought the song was pretty cool. I passed on sharing Holy Mountain because it seems like something only true Oasis/Noel fans would enjoy.

I can understand not getting or enjoying these songs, but embarrasing? Get a grip man. Fort Knox has so much tension on it it makes me wanna work out hard, or punch someone in the face. Holy mountain is joy, speed. All those are things sorely missed in the world in 2017, and the things Noel has always broght us when he was at his best. The same old songwriting is good, but change is good sometimes too, and something a man like him, with his gift, needs to do once in life at least.

I like Fort Knox and i like Holy Mountain, but i see why there can be so much bad feelings towards his new material. You see, this album is like it's a new version of Noel, he didn't wrote those songs the way he used to since DM. I'm interested in the result and i enjoy it so far, but chances that it's the first and last time he did it that way are high.

I kinda get what he's saying... Yeah, it may sound a bit harsh, I understand that. The point is... does walrus91's opinion need its own thread? Or better, does anybody's opinion need a single thread? That's why we have the main WBTM topic. To discuss about this kind of stuff. And I should mention that we already have some other threads which are very similar to this one as well. Creating a new thread, just to repeat the same thing that you wrote in another thread and that you've been constantly writing for a couple of weeks... well, that's quite close to my idea of "attention seeking". |

Of course none of this is driven by the Liam V Noel thing, not at all 😒 Well of course, most of negativity is coming from the recent Noel vs Liam situation and it's pretty lame, but to be fair you can't just assume that everybody who are dissapointed with Noel's new songs are Liam's warriors or something like that. There really is quite a few reasons why people might not be satisfied with his new stuff so far and it's not fair to say that Liam is the only one. |

I kinda get what he's saying... No it's not harsh. He said the same thing in already existing thread but I guess he didn't get the attention he wanted so he opened a new one. I don't like how there's this constant Liam vs. Noel battle going on in here. I didn't like Holy Mountain but I never thought of making a thread saying "I'm so embarrased of this, my friends are going to leave me for listening to this" |
