No need for me to do a review now as that NME one is pretty decent. No videos as phones had to be locked away before entry but it was professionally recorded and being released on Nov 24. I would still like to hear what your impressions on the new songs were, if you don't mind of course

Love love love the sunglasses. From the neck down, he should let bygones be bygones and have Pretty Green supply his stage outfits. No parkas, though.

I really enjoyed the concert. The band had so much fun, the crowd really liked Holy Mountain and It's a beautiful world as well. When I have to give all the new songs a review I would say 6,5/10 but that's just my opinion. I am more into Liam's new album but I was also happy with Noel's first two albums.

I don't like it either, but I've had the pleasure of hearing both versions. Hope the third time will also be the electric one.

I think A Beautiful World will be the biggest song on the album. From all the new songs, it's the strongest chorus for me. Yeah, it’s was my favourite from the short advert. Looking forward to it.

More I wait for A Beautiful World, more I hate HM, ehh. It will be probably the best thing Noel did for a long time I read the Q review of Who Built The Moon and it stated the worst tracks were Holy Mountain and She Taught Me How To Fly. Personally, I cannot believe that will be the case, because I love Holy Mountain so much. I'm not getting tired of it at all. I think it has a lot to do with my own music tastes - it's been a very long time since I listened to anything considered 'fun', and my current tastes are maybe a bit too earnest and serious, to the point that this was such a blast of fresh air for myself.

Another review from the night: metro.co.uk/2017/11/03/noel-gallaghers-high-flying-birds-review-soaring-psych-melodies-and-crowd-pleasing-classics-make-for-a-memorable-night-7052073/The sound of crowd chants were set to loop, while lads fist-pumped the air sounded reminiscent of a football match, with the crowd shouting ‘Noel! Noel! Noel Gallagher hit London town on Wednesday for a blistering display of his new album Who Built The Moon?, a tour de-force through not just British tones of rock n roll, but widely disparate genres such as Americana, country, folk and good old fashioned indie. Set within the hallowed halls of York Hall, a former boxing hall deep in London’s east end, the intimate show felt all that more in your face due to aloud sound rig and a full band set up. Oh, and the sound of various lads shouting ‘Noel’ and ‘Swindon’. With brother Liam’s recent album triumph, it was time for musical maestro Noel to shine – and shine he did, bringing the swagger, cocky attitude and obligatory Manchester City flag that all came to define his old band Oasis. Set to a stunning backdrop of digitally rendered images of deserts and landscapes, the show opened with blistering post punk cut Holy Mountain, with Noel, ranting and posing like a member of The Damned, seemingly unrecognisable in tone. Plus Noel changed his guitar over after every single track. I’ve never seen anyone change an instrument that much. Ever. He blasted through an impress selection of tracks, including the melancholic, anger-tinged It’s A Beautiful World, the cinematic, soundscape infused Fort Knox, The Primal Scream esque She Taught Me How To Fly and fan favourite Riverman, taken from his 2015 album Chasing Yesterday. One of our favourites, the slow burning and psychedelic tomes of In The Heat Of The Moment proved an accomplished glimpse into one of the world’s biggest rockers – and most impressive guitarists. Just before playing a brand new song, Noel responded to on-going banter from the crowd: ‘Don’t try and fucking sing along cause you’ve never heard it.’ But there were plenty of tracks that the crowd did know. Noel kept the fans happy by playing a select handful of Oasis classics. B side and Royle Family theme tune Half The World Away brought anthemic chants from the crowd as did soaring statement Little By Little. But the biggest reaction – an almighty one at that – was saved for Oasis classic Champagne Supernova. The Morning Glory album track – one of Oasis’ finest moments – was sung along to, word for word, making for a memorable moment that will long remain in memory. But the question that’s always been on my lips is still there – when oh when will we see an Oasis reunion? With both Gallagher boys at the top of their games and producing cracking, soul packed albums, it leaves me asking one question – when is the reunion happening boys? Hurry up please! ****

What does tuning the B string to A do? Never heard of this tuning before.

What does tuning the B string to A do? Never heard of this tuning before. Dunno, but Noel has used this tuning on Oasis songs like The Hindu Times and Shock Of The Lightning(+capo in this case).

The setlist I saw said it was acoustic. I don't like it either, but I've had the pleasure of hearing both versions. Hope the third time will also be the electric one. Yeah seen both versions a few times. Prefer the electric full band version every time ! DLBIA was full band with Noel on acoustic, Gem on electric. I also prefer full-on all electric but as it is my favourite song of all time I’d happily listen to it sung by Phil Mitchell playing the spoons.

I absolutely love the acoustic version for DLBIA. Noel's vocals sound heavenly, it brings the song to a whole new level for me. Love playing it on the acoustic guitar like that.

I've been lucky enough to hear both versions live, and I have to say I prefer the electric one Said that, DLBIA would sound good even if it was just me with an acoustic guitar singing it, so I don't really care as long as it's in the setlist
