Excited that he's using Fort Knox as his walk on song.

Thought I'd post as I've just got out of the gig and just got my phone back. Noel played for about an hour and played about 6 new tracks in total alongside in the heat of the moment, riverman, little by little, half the world away, champagne supernova don't look back in anger, what a life. No real surprises in the set list.
Now onto what I remember of the new tracks... he walked onto fort Knox which sounded mega as an opener with a big suspenseful prelude. Straight into holy mountain which I have to admit sounds so much better live - crowd really into it. Beautiful world I thought sounded the best of the live songs, chorus we've heard from the preview but sounds like it could be a big single. The song he played on Jools Holland last night (along with the girl on scissors - apparently cutting edge.. wtf) song sounds good live, guitars remind me of new order. He also played two others which I didn't hear the name of. One very slow and bluesy number which prodded along and a faster rocky tune which sounded like a cross between in the heat of the moment and do the damage. Stand outs where gem on lead guitar who rocked dlbia and cs. New stuff is certainly different and will divide but did flow in with older material. Sara and his kids were up in the audience, he so was on good form!

I think A Beautiful World will be the biggest song on the album. From all the new songs, it's the strongest chorus for me.

Be Careful What You Wish For:
It’s a slower one, really groovy. Song reminded me very much of Paul Weller’s ‘Into Tomorrow’ but just a slower tempo.

The scissor sister carrying her handbag on stage I imagine she was running late as just back from her arts&crafts workshop?

1. Holy Mountain 2. New Song 3. In the Heat of the Moment 4. Riverman 5. Little by little 6. Champagne Supernova He also played Half the World away and Don't look back in anger. Last song was What a Life. 12 or 13 Songs. About 70 minutes. Little by little was fucking awesome. Great atmosphere. Was standing in the second row behind the Liverpool lads who got a plectrum from Noel. He wanted to charge them 15 pence for each

Noel Gallagher presents new album at Apple Music concert at York Hall CULTUREMUSICLIVE MUSIC
1ST NOVEMBER 2017 Filippo L'Astorina, the Editor FILIPPO L'ASTORINA
There must be something special about York Hall. Only a few months back, Arcade Fire were presenting here their latest album, and now it’s the turn of Noel Gallagher, who just a week ago brought an end to his support duties for U2’s mammoth world tour.
Who Built the Moon, due for release on 24th November – the same day this concert premieres on Apple Music in the form of a special documentary – seems to mark a departure from the 90s rock style the singer-songwriter is known for.
Gallagher enters the stage as Fort Knox plays on the PA. He opens the show with lead single Holy Mountain; live, there’s more gravitas to the song which polarised opinions among the fans. It’s a Beautiful World follows and it’s the first debut of the night. Set to be the new single from the album, it’s a melancholic piece characterised by a slow trip-hop beat.
The mood of the packed Bethnal Green venue suddenly ignites when Oasis songs are played: first Little by Little then Champagne Supernova. “This one is dedicated to my children [points at them] listen to these words.” It’s Be Careful What You Wish For, a quiet 70s rock piece, acoustic-guitar-led, enriched by electric riffs and solos. Next is another debut, Black and White Sunshine, an uptempo track built on a classic rock groove.
“This lady here last night [at Jools Holland] played scissors for the first time on British television.” And they launch into a spirited rendition of the refreshing She Taught Me How to Fly. After a huge singalong on Don’t Look Back in Anger, the Mancunian singer closes with AKA…What a Life!.
Tonight’s great performance opens a new cycle of Noel Gallagher’s career; the newer sound doesn’t come as a surprise for the fans of the former Oasis leader who, not long ago, had promised a mind-blowing, psychedelic album which he actually recorded with Amorphous Androgynous and then scrapped in 2015. The soundscape might have changed a bit, but the older of the Brit rock brothers is still the same: “See you next year, keep the faith and all that bollocks,” he says before leaving the stage.

Has always been a favourite of our Noel's: Maybe element103's onto something here... I love it when the "sounds like..." comments start coming in. Even if they end up being untrue, it's always exciting building up a picture of how a record's going to sound. Have we heard any opinions about Keep on Reaching yet? Was that the one that someone from Q or wherever got his Beatles reference in for (by likening it to Come Together)?

apparently she's worked with Kevin Shields she's quite the virtuoso 🤔 that makes sense. Doing it with electric guitars and drums doesnt.

apparently she's worked with Kevin Shields she's quite the virtuoso 🤔 You need to get on the French's level of artistry! I took a gander at her work with Shields and it is really good though.

I hope he didn't get her on board just to be "out there", because she's more talented than using scissors on an MOR rock song.
