Yeah seeing 2 blokes shake hands must be far more interesting than the realisation we've been lied to our whole lives.
Each to their own.
You're a fucking idiot but I gotta admit this made me laugh He makes us all laugh. Laughing AT him.

She is hopeless, has to be one of the worst PMs that the UK has had in modern times. I'm not just saying that because I hate her party, I'd think that even if I was a died in the wool Tory.

Just for the record, I'm a Flat Earther and a (man made) climate change denier. No one denies the climate changes, we just don't buy the hysterical co2 argument. You can have scientific debate about climate change but about flat earth? Not really.

Another school shooting in USA. Luckily it happened in Texas so the students could protect themselves with their own guns! Or not. It aint the guns doe. Just ask NL4E. It's apparently only the gun's fault when it happens at a school. But domestic violence? Gangs? Drug cartels? Terrorists? Bank robbers? I never hear anyone blame guns in any of those scenarios. And nor should they. Try blaming the actual criminal, and then try to understand why. Once the why is understood, you can then start making change on the societal level (i.e., drug cartels = decriminalize drugs, ffs). Also, the mass media's coverage of every school shooting leads to those sick fucks glorifying it, resulting in more "copy cats" doing the same. It's hard to look inward, so it's easy to blame the weapon. Society has a lot to answer for.

Yeah we get them here in Britain too you know? It’s just that they cause less murders and havoc because it’s nearly impossible to obtain a firearm. I mean, how fucking hard is this to understand?

It’s really getting to the depths of stupidity when even Piers Morgan is on the right side of the debate.

Yeah we get them here in Britain too you know? It’s just that they cause less murders and havoc because it’s nearly impossible to obtain a firearm. I mean, how fucking hard is this to understand? Since 9/11 we have spent $2.8 trillion on counter terrorism measures. Terrorists still have access to all sorts of weaponry, and with soft targets abound all across the United States it's quite phenomenal that bar an isolated incident here or there, we have been pretty much 100% safe from Al Qaeda, ISIS and their fanatics. My suggestion is that we implement the same understanding and countermeasures when it comes to understanding what actually goes into making a school shooter. Until you understand the reasons, you will never stop it. And it amazes me that you say "Well, Great Britain doesn't have this problem because Great Britain has virtually no guns." Well, perhaps it's much deeper than that - perhaps there's something wrong at the core of the American society. Again, only looking inward can provide safer measures. And while this year is now a statistical outlier when it comes to looking at the rate of school shootings on a yearly basis, it really isn't a growing phenomenon. Schools are incredibly safe - the coverage of the mass media creates tons of irrational fears. We need to do better to continue the trend of stopping these incidents, but for christ's sake it is not a weaponry problem. Remember, the two individuals at Columbine also set off bombs around the school as well - you can find ways to make bombs readily on the internet. Likewise, this kid in Texas today also had an assortment of bombs he constructed. And from what I understand, bombs are indeed illegal. Well, criminals don't give one single damn about legality. And weaponry will always be found.

I've moved some posts regarding US gun policy AND what just in Texas happend from "Thoughts" thread to this thread.
I'll never ever understand why still so many people in the US support their gun policy and Trump. I'm glad that I don't live in the US.

I took a counter-terrorism course in college (by the by, I met George W. Bush's chief of staff, Andrew Card, during that course which was fascinating). In that class, the professor had us do group projects where we actually designed a terrorist attack - my group was incidentally the PIRA. Some may say that that's a twisted assignment. His intention, of course, was to get us understanding each separate terrorist group by taking on the role and thinking from within. That is the way to understand. But if only the PIRA didn't have guns, bombs, or any sort of weaponry. God damn the weapons.

Terrorist cells and networks are independent and a completely different world to the sociopaths who can willingly buy a firearm across the shop counter. Straws being clutched here. And for a desperate wannabe Brit, you’d fail a citizenship test spectacularly with this crackpot shite that you’re spewing.

What an idiot Americans are deluded when it comes to guns. Blame everything else. Guns need to be far harder to access. It's ridiculous that students with mental problems can get their hands on them so easily.

There will always be bad people doing bad things. But you can cut down on the number of people getting murdered by taking action. The gun laws are a joke, how many children need to be murdered before American finally wakes up and stops this stupid right to bear arms bollocks. Hope students keep protesting and force the idiots in charge to do something.

How many people and children have to die before we all have common sense? It's too bad the people in charge care more about the money from the gun lobby and NRA than the children and population they are supposed to protect.

I’m just going to be called a stupid American for saying this, but I don’t understand how stricter gun laws will change anything. Literally everything these shooters do (bring a gun to school, shoot the gun, murder people) is illegal, but somehow, stricter gun laws will change that. We have a mental health issue disguised as a gun issue.
