Listen, I have gay friend and when I was singing emotionally some song few days ago he said to me, man, you are singing like gay. When I said less gay, you all know what I meant and I said that intentionally and I'm not going to apologize. Please don't sell me that political political correctness bullshit. This has nothing to do with homosexuals. And anyway, this isn't about me, it is about Noel. Because he is the one who is always trying to be the tough guy, rock and roll guy, slagging everybody off. I don't really care about that, to be the though gay. And gay music exist, ask any gay (Eurovision songs, Mika...). Gay people are the first who will say to you, yeah man, that's totally gay song. And I actually don't give a shit if it is. But Noel is the one who is actually running from that. In interviews anyway. It still sounds fucking awful. No matter if you're heart is in the right place, you're gonna get criticized for it, as you rightfully should. Would you also start saying "nigger" if you had a black friend who used that word frequently? Because that would be just as logical as your reasoning. Black people are using that word more and more (hip hop artists, in NBA). My nigga etc. And it's a good thing. We shouldn't be afraid of the words. It's like with word Voldemort in Harry Potter I think i called Nikola Jokić my nigga few months ago, and people were complaining here. And he is white But that's my way of fighting. I am nigger, you are nigger, we are all niggers. I am gay, you are gay, we are all gays. So fucking what? So the next time some right wing idiot calls some black person a nigger, he can say proudly, hell yeah I'm a nigger, I'm proud to be. Like he should be. It's very easy to figure out when someone is using those words to offend some groups. You can search my posts, I wrote that I would probably sleep with Jude Law and Ewan McGregor And opened a thread about guilty pleasure songs I am not a threat to gay or any other community no matter how much time I use words gay or nigger and in what context. Like 95% of people are not. Man, we had Gay Pride in Belgrade this year without any incident. And we had big riots and violence every time in last 15 years. What happened this year? They just stopped few right wing organizations to create a chaos. Ordinary people don't give a fuck if you are gay or not, or white or black. We all know what is the core problem but we are wasting our time fighting with each other. On global scale - few rich people who are trying to be richer. In every local community - few individuals with their names and surnames, creating problem for all community. But there are people with superiority complex, they are like the Medieval Inquisition, with all that PC bullshit. How can you use that word? Translation - I am above you and I will tell you what word you can use. How old are you, 12? Translation- I am above you and I will insult you that you are acting like a little kid because I am all grown up and mature. Go listen to your Kasabian neanderthal rock. Translation - I am above you, your music is neanderthal music for neanderthal people like you, my music is superior. For me, that's much worse behaviour than when I used term ''gay music''.

If your position on "gay" was ever defensible, then you have really lost the plot now. People use racial epithets like "n***er" to denigrate and dehumanize other groups and remind them of their proper place - as slaves. Calling yourself a "n***er" doesn't change that.

I absolute agree with eva and mystoryisgory. People who use "gay" or "retarded" as an insult or to describe something they don't like need to get fucking educated. Don't post that kind of shit

Superiority complex? What?! Don't try to turn this around...
People say you can't use words like that, because it's offensive. Not because they "are above you". It's called common sense and social behaviour.

Bullshit! It’s the context that makes them good or bad. The context. That makes them good or bad. For instance, you take the word “Nigger.” There is absolutely nothing wrong with the word “Nigger” in and of itself. It’s the racist asshole who’s using it that you ought to be concerned about. We don’t care when Richard Pryor or Eddie Murphy say it.
Why? Because we know they’re not racist. They’re Niggers!

When I shit on them! And that happens 2 or 3 times a week, tops." I'm not sure how serious he was, but that's definitely not something I agree with. And I think he found it hypocritical. I think that's why he's talking about context. Just because a white person says the word "nigger", doesn't necessarily mean it's racist. And just because a black person uses it, doesn't necessarily mean it's not racist. We should be paying attention to how they use the word and their meaning behind it, rather than the word itself.

It does of course have to do with context, but I don't think that makes it hypocritical. It's like Jewish peoplease making holocaust jokes.

My father grew up in segregationist South and was never proud to be called "boy" or "nigger." This isnt being PC, this is realizing that that word associations comes from spite. It's not as simple as no words are bad. Quite frankly, that's bullshit. Additionally, we may use the term, "nigga," in slang, but it's not for you to say how WE should use it. You're not aware of the genealogy or the shared condition of the word. That much is obvious because your argument is naive. It's essentially saying that if black people were more proud to be called nigger, turn the word around, then it wouldn't be a problem. I can be proud of myself without accepting the term, nigger, so don't lecture on something that you have no clue about.

I understand your point, but I think it's dangerous anytime we say a specific group of people is allowed to say or joke about something, and others can't. We could outlaw specific words tomorrow but it still won't change what people think or feel. The roots of racism run deep, and a few words aren't going to change that.

Who would have thought Noel Gallagher ripping off Puerto Rican and French pop music would have resulted in a debate about racism? Is this the YouTube comments section?

Because you know what, there's no black counsel who controls every black person with a rule of instructions along with a contract telling them how to use the it. Anything else is on an individual basis, and there will always be individuals. That doesn't make the inherent no-no of the word hypocritical. Because at that point, you and any other person is asking for a 100% success rate for the usage of said word.

"Nigga" is different from "nigger". Sorry, but that's the way it is. Because guess what What? Fuck is different from duck. It's not redicilous. That's language. Nigger is an affectionate term that's been judged by a community to be alright. Nigger has been judged not to be alright. True respect is respecting that a group of people have a right to choose how they should be referred to or how they should refer to each others. That's not ridiculous.

Because at that point, you and any other person is asking for a 100% success rate for the usage of said word. It’s not a case of who is allowed to say it. I’m stating that one group can use a word recreationally and the others can’t, which is inherently wrong. I understand the historical factors as to why they use it, but that doesn’t negate the fact it’s hypocritical. Also why would you want people to STOP talking about social issues like this? That does the exact opposite effect. Just because you’re from a certain group of people and I’m not doesn’t mean that I could never understand or empathize with you. That’s just a bullshit excuse of getting out of a discussion because you don’t have any valid points and it all comes from emotion.
